A great little hotel in charming local area not to far away from the subway. Especially the staff has to be acknowledged for their helpfullness.

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and it had been recommended to me by my colleague who stayed here in February this year and i did not regret having accepted his suggestion.

For a true experience of the traditional courtyard residences in Beijing and the real feel of the Hutong as life used to be during the dynasty period, this is the place to be, yet in a clean, relaxed and very safe environment. The hotel has a very traditional feeling with the basic modernities of today. The buffet breakfast was great and the staff was extremely friendly. Thank you Vivian, Cathy and Cindy for your warm hospitality.

We stayed with a friend for a few days at the hotel, and we really felt welcomed.
The staff is super friendly and helpful, and speak a very good english.
The location of the hotel makes it very special, in the middle of a hutong which is very quiet.
But it does make it difficult for taxis to find it, specially from the airport. So make sure you bring a map along to show drivers.

The Double Happiness Courtyard Hotel was a real find for us. Coming straight from the airport through a loud Beijing rush hour, arriving at the hotel was like stumbling into an oasis. It is tranquil and quiet and still slap bang in the middle of the city. The staff are very friendly indeed and are full of good advice over where to eat and how to get places. This is highly recommended.

Stayed here for 4 nights in a wedding suite. Loved the room. Perfectly clean and neat decor. Staff was wonderful. Breakfast was wonderful. Always felt very safe in the alley, even at night. Subway only a short walk away. (station entrance is sort of hidden, look behind the WuMart & McDonalds). Free computer IN YOUR ROOM! how great is that.
Hidden roof deck, first courtyard, steps at far end. Be aware that taxies don't go up the alley, which is about 4 blocks long with the hotel in the center. Taxies will have to drop you off at one end or the other of the street. Easy except when you have your luggage, or if you have problems walking. Thanks to Trip Advisor for helping me find this hotel.

Room Tip: Wedding suites are neat, & memorable
