The hotel is simple but has everything I need. It's kind of cool to stay in a somewhat historical building - a renovated Chinese courtyard. The bed is comfy. I live in the US but travel to Beijing from time to time. It's my first time staying in the countryside.

If you have young children, you would definitely love this place. The hotel sets aside a couple of rooms for exhibitions. It has Lego displays. OK, no Star War kind of Lego display. But you will find multiple wall size pictures made out of Lego blocks.

The hotel is also close to the Great Wall. I went there in the morning to avoid the crowd.
