Honestly it's one of the best burger i ever ate in Beijing, amazing beers too and great ambiance while it can be a nosy unfortunately. A must try to savour a great burger and have a great beers with friends or relatives. Well done.

Did you leave US but still want US hipster bar? Then come here for the authentically generic modern bar that happens to be situated in some random Beijing district.

While the juxtaposition is amusing it fails to be a bar that fosters an image of Chinese drinking culture.

So do your thing my well researched traveller who's reading up on all the potential restaurants a city of 22 million has and picking from a list of 10. Have that authentic local experience that way.

Tucked away down a small street in Sanlitun area, this third venue of mini-legends: "Great Leap Brewers" offers greasy comfort food, many excellent craft beers, and a lively, convivial environment.
Expect to be squished in with other diners/drinkers, or squeeze in at one of two bar areas, but definitely make it to one of the three "Great Leaps" for some of Beinjing's best flavourful beer.
Also, great deals on certain days of the week - visit Monday for free take-home growlers of the smooth, balanced 'Pale Ale #6'.

After reading about this place on Trip Advisor I went out of my way to find it. The atmosphere, staff and the prices were really fantastic. The reason I dropped my star rating was the wait time and food presentation.

It took about 50 minutes to get my food. I ordered the fried cauliflower and pineapple sandwich but when it arrived it was very soggy and the bread fell apart so it wasn't able to be picked up and eaten as intended. I had to request a fork to eat the filling that way. I would not order this sandwich again. The burgers I saw going to other tables etc looked quite good, and the banana wheat beer brewed on site was great. I'd say this place deserves another chance.
