After visiting the Hall of Great Harmony, this Hall follows on the tour from the south to north. Its inside is quite interesting and well kept.

To see inside this Hall it is necessary to elbow your way to the front of the crowds of Chinese tourists who are also trying to look through the doors and to the throne. The building itself is little different to all the other structures within the Palace complex.

The most impressive thing (or should I say - only impressive thing) on this hall is the golden dragon throne.
Despite what it says, I am not 100% sure this is the real thing, but rather a good replica.
Still, worth a 2-minute glimpse.

When walking thru the Forbidden city doing the quick route from South to North you can't miss it, it's the third building.
Needless to say the first two are more impressive.
The audio tour we took from the front gate was quite good, it was able to explain lots without one having always to read a book.

The golden dragon throne is preserved very well in Hall of Preserving Harmony. You can feel the majesty of the emperor in Qing Dynasty.
