I stayed at the St. Regis Beijing for 8 nights with my family (3 young kids all below the age of 10) and we had an incredible time. A few things were truly impressive:
1) The rooms are terrific. We were upgraded to a Diplomat Deluxe room for our kids and an Ambassador Suite for my wife and I. The rooms are really spacious and very functional. Great amenities.
2) The dining options are terrific. We dined at the Celestial Court restaurant (traditional Chinese cuisine) and also Danieli's (Italian). The service in both restaurants was terrific. The food was also delicious and really well prepared. Our children enjoyed both restaurants a lot and it was great to have such fantastic cuisine right in the hotel.
3) The gym, pool, and spa are amazing. It's a huge gym, a very large lap pool, and the spa area has natural hot springs, which are really amazing.
4) The kindness and care from the staff is amazing. Charles Li (the duty manager) was extremely helpful with a number of requests we had throughout our stay. The F&B manager, Tina-Ya Chuang as well as Sarah Yang (Manager at Celestial Court) were incredibly helpful in making sure that all our dining needs were just spectacular. Finally, the concierge staff was also incredible. Michelle as well as Clarance Wang were incredibly helpful arranging tours for us and several dining options. In particular, the overall manager for the Concierge Team (Steven) was simply out of this world because he worked so hard on a few complicated requests we had and he even helped us on his day off!!

Overall our experience was amazing and we very much look forward to returning to the St. Regis Beijing very soon!

Dear anandswaminathan,

in the name of all our ladies and gentlemen, I thank you very much for having resided at The St. Regis Beijing.

We were honored to be at your and your family's service and even more appreciate that you share your impressions here.

I am thrilled to hear that many of our features were to your satisfaction; the tastefully decorated rooms with many of them having a wonderful view towards East where many guests tell us, the view reminds them to the Central Park, NY and if the mild light of the sun rising above Beijing covers the hotel and the Embassy compound in a warm orange color, the feeling is just a most enjoyable one.

We were glad that you could try our specialties in both, Celestial court and Danieli's; we also hope that you had a chance to try our expansive selection of International dishes or our Sunday Champagne Brunch where we celebrate one of our rituals, dating back to Napoleon times.

Indeed, we are very proud in working with all the talented ladies and gentlemen that you have mentioned; they and all others are the pillar of our success; their passion and admiration for our guests is exemplary and an inspiration for everybody.

Dear anandswaminathan, we truly hope that your travels will bring you back very soon again to Beijing an we'd be honored if we could be at your service again. This amazing city and this hotel have many more facilities to offer; waiting for getting discovered.

Respectfully yours,
Richard Deutl

Extremely happy with this booking! Our room was beautiful, fantastic city views. Service was superb. The Italian restaurant offers one of the best risotto I have ever had. Miss Ting, the food and beverage manager is so kind, polite and friendly, she made us feel like home. They offer happy hour everyday, one of my favorite time of the day. Concierge was very helpful and Allen the bellboy was super sweet.

Dear Adriana R,

In the name of all our ladies and gentlemen, I thank you very much for having resided at The St. Regis Beijing. We are proud that we could be successfully at your service.

As you mentioned, the view towards the green, tranquil Embassy compound with its spectacular skyline of Beijing invites many of our guests to mention that this view reminds them to Central Park, NY and when the sun rises above Beijing in the morning, the entire area is covered in a mild orange as rarely being found anywhere else.

Danieli's, our contemporary Italian in classic setting is truly home to amazing Risottos in palate tantalizing combinations and also other mouthwatering dishes in a splendid presentation. We are very proud to have Ting with us as well, a most passionate and charming addition to our team of dedicated, experienced hosts; including the Concierge and welcoming bellboys.

Dear Adriana R, we are looking forward being at your service soon again; this city and The St. Regis Beijing have a lot more to offer; GardenCourt with its rich Sunday Champagne Brunch, Celestial Court where Chef Lau offers Cantonese and Beijing specialties; the Iridium Spa with our own Hot Springs, the expansive Fitness and Pool landscape etc etc..and all this so centrally located with a subway station right next to us that makes it easy to explore Beijing easily.

Respectfully yours,

Rooms and restaurants outstanding. Enormous number of staff at front desk, concierge and front door. They never dropped the ball. Rooms meet St Regis high quality standards. Service excellence.

However, some common areas like hallways are dated and need a refresh. And while staff speaks enough English to get by, other large business hotels in central Beijing have trained their staff more.

Concierge MICHAEL was exceptional.

Dear Davidonthebay,

In the name of all our ladies and gentlemen, I thank you very much for having resided at The St. Regis Beijing recently.

I am thrilled to hear that besides some of the features you mention, our ladies and gentlemen have been special taken note of; indeed we are very proud to work with such passionate and empathic ladies and gentlemen that always will go out of their way to exceed our valued guests expectations.

Dear Davidonthebay, we truly look forward welcoming you back very soon where you will hopefully find time to appreciate other features like our Iridium Spa with its own thermal springs, rising from 15oo m below the surface and making our hotel the only luxury hotel in Beijing offering such relaxing treat; alternatively you can take a competitive swim in our 25 m indoor swimming pool with a view towards our hotel own garden, a tranquil space of relaxation and comfort right in the center of Beijing, only 300 yards from Jianguomenwai subway station with as little as two stops from traditional Wangfujing shopping or CBD with even more luxury shopping options.

This is a good quality hotel, though not as good as the St. Regis I have stayed in elsewhere. The staff are very courteous and helpful.

I've stayed in a lot of central Beijing hotels now and it seems that the huge amounts of people coming in and out of the city means that standards are lower than elsewhere in China. This is mostly in regards to furnishings etc. which look a bit worn out in places. Nonetheless, this was still a comfortable stay and one of the better hotels I have stayed in Beijing.

The room was a bit too warm and the AC control in the room was overridden by the hotel. Otheriwise, a pleasant stay.

We appreciate that you have taken the time to appreciate our talented and passionate ladies and gentlemen, going out of their way to anticipate our valued guests needs and making sure the stays will be most enjoyable and successful ones.

Stayed for a couple of nights. Service was excellent. Had them pick me up at the airport and someone met me at the gate and shuttled me thru the airport with great efficiency. Room was typical of a St Regis - spacious, nicely appointed and with all the right amenities. Wifi was strong throughout the hotel - a must-have these days. Went for a nice swim in a great lap pool and worked out in a very spacious fitness center. Fitness equipment is plentiful but not necessarily the most modern - but very adequate. Staff at the lockers and fitness center were very attentive.

Breakfast buffet was well serviced and food was plentiful. Would've actually liked a little more Asian/Chinese fare. The American breakfast food was good. The service at the front door was also very good - there was always a taxi available and they would help hail it and provide directions. They were also very nice to our driver and offering him a parking spot and summoning him appropriately. There was a nice Easter activity and food service for families and kids.

Location was fine for meetings on the east side of Beijing. Rooms were quiet and shades kept out all the light to help with sleep quality. All in all a great stay and no complaints whatsoever.

I am thrilled to learn that our pick up service at the airport - meeting you directly at the gate - made your arrival more smooth.
