This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel, which my employer puts me in. The reception hasn't changed at all; they still really need to improve their language ability to be an international hotel. They are perfunctory but not warm or service oriented. The bell boy, however, were very effective and always tried to help, even if the language issue was a problem.

The room was big but the wear and tear is beginning to show. Breakfast was fun in the sense that the cook, a woman, recognize me every day (I was there for a week). She smiled, tried to communicate and cook me two eggs over easy every morning. Really nice service. However the food can run out quickly, so get there early.

The hotel is very well situated. Across the street is a modern mall and a hip neighborhood with lots of bars and restaurants. Again the bell boys are very efficient and can hail a taxi in seconds. I also take the metro a lot in Beijing, and a station is within second from the entrance.

The WIFI is slow, and like most of China, not good and monitored. Too bad. Much be frustrating for the Chinese as well.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the upper floors. Better views and quiet.

There is nothing special about this place but the rooms are big and clean, the beds are comfortable, and the location is great for the price. There are people smoking in the lobby (which doubles/triples? as a car showroom) and cigarette butts in the elevator, but we asked for a non-smoking room and there was no trace of smoke in the room. The front desk was friendly and the place is located right across from a very hip (and pretty expensive) shopping center, which also has lots of nightlife options in the area at a range of price points.

Room Tip: make sure and ask for a non-smoking room (unless of course you smoke!)

Very nice and convenient location in Beijing- Sanlitun. There are so many things to see and have fun with around the hotel. And most importantly, this is not a normal comfort inn you'd see in North America. In China, comfort inn became higher end international hotel. The suite I stayed was nice and super clean. Love it and I will definitely return!

I stayed here for a week during business travel. The room was very spacious and comfortable with a good, clean bathroom. My only two complaints were how warm/hot it would get in the room and the smell of smoke. Because it was October, the hotel turned off the entire air conditioning system. As a result, no air was in the room at all. They were able to bring a fan in for me but there was nothing that could be done about the warm temperature.

Also, although it was a non-smoking floor, it's clear others were smoking or had smoked in the past. In my room there was an ashtray with matches provided so they obviously don't discourage smoking. As a non-smoker from North America, I found it hard to deal with.

Otherwise, things were kept clean and it was in a fun, safe and good area.

Seems to be an old hotel but the rooms and bathroom are spacious. My room, on 10th floor, also had an attached ante room with additional TV. Tea/coffee, kettle, iron & board were available in the room, as were all toiletries, slippers, robes etc. Breakfast was in a relatively cramped area and was barely average but eggs to order were available. Although the hotel has a big lobby, there is only one two-seater sofa. The greatest attribute of the hotel is its location, which is in Sanlitun area with several shopping malls across the road including the famous Yashow market, so popular with foreigners. There are several bars, restaurants - including Muslim restaurants, within a few minutes walking distance from the hotel. Diplomatic area is also within a short walking distance.

Room Tip: Choose a room on Southern side (back side). These rooms are odd numbered. Rooms with even numbers are on the front side, facing busy road and are noisy at night.
