In a very dense city like Beijing, Laurel Hotel is one of a good option to stay. A bit far from the hustle bustle of city center, Laurel Hotel has more quiet environment. It has moderately good and comfortable room with standard facilities. The interior of the room is not so bad but not so memorable. The lobby has huge chinese decoration and there multiple columns in front of the main entrance of the hotel. The breakfast area resembled a trendy chinese restaurant with stylish traditional design. However, the breakfast menu is very limited.
What makes a bit frustating from this hotel is the staff who cannot speak English properly. There’s a bit confusion when I asked for tape, instead they gave me a ironing board ! It’s also quite hard just to ask the operating hours for the business center.More
