A week ago, I had an opportunity to take advantage of the pay 2 nights get one free at the hotel. This was a chance for my family (wife and child) to have a vacation as I had gone for a work conference in Mombasa County.
The welcome at the hotel was very poor, the room we were given was not the best, the bed was uncomfortable and the loo would not flush properly.
During meals, there were too many spicy options which was not the best especially for persons travelling with minors and toddlers.
Also considering that it was a full board package the hotel did not give water during meals with the mention that that was reserved for those who had booked with travel agents such as bonfire.
Housekeeping also did not do the best job at cleaning the room and therefore we also had to keep picking up trash after they were done with the room.
Staff in the hotel were also not very friendly and seemed more preoccupied with serving foreign nationals as compared to their fellow Kenyans.
The hotel also does refills for shower gels in old bottles that seems to have been used multiples times in the past.
There was no mosquito net in the room which necessitated purchase of insecticide to deal with the mosquito issues that normally exist in Mombasa.
Much as I had received a positive review from colleagues who had been there no more than 2 weeks before me this was absolutely disappointing.

My friend and I had a perfect 3days stay.The staff are very welcoming and ensured we were at all time comfortable. Oh the rooms are kept well and ever clean.
The compound, well kept what a breath taking view. The beach had it's place a well.

We are really greatful and humbled by service. I would recommend and come again.
