This is individualized and professional services at its best. This place caters to your every need. There is a chef on staff that will wait for your arrival from the airport. It is a wonderful place to get a little out of the city. Comfortable all around, wonderful hosts, amazing food if any of my friends were visiting Nairobi, I would highly suggest staying here. It is definitely a unique first class experience. If you have a larger group or family- try getting the lodge. It has plenty of space and a family room.

We stayed again with visitors after a day in Nairobi National Park and we were not disappointed. Great staff, good food, beautiful surroundings and a really unique experience staying in a treehouse. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Room 2 has the best views and not overlooked by anything or anyone

I was going to give this establishment a better review based on its price point of $200 per night as quoted. Only at checkout when we received the bill did it transpire to be $200 PER PERSON per night! Is the Ngong House worth this money? Absolutely not! For $200 per night I would say the food is nice, the staff friendly and the the cabins rustic and quirky, well worth the money for a different experience. At double this $400 per night I would say go to Hemmingways every time- its $25 per night more per couple and is 5* fantastic in every way, had we known we would be stung for such and enormous bill we would have gone back there instead without hesitation.

There are no facilities here, the pool is dirty, the cushions in the room are faded, lampshades ripped, bed uncomfortable and sinks in the middle, the water is cold for morning showers if you don't get in early enough to beat the rush ... I fail to see how this guest house is pricing themselves at 5* hotel prices when the facilities and conditions are far below this. Given the vast amounts of money the owner must be pocketing from this enterprise a serious sum of it needs to be reinvested into bringing the accommodation and grounds into the 21st century. Bitterly disappointed.

We spent three nights here and it was magical. We were greeted with dinner by the fire when we arrived, even though it was after 11:00 pm! The treehouse was ingenious and beautiful--we saw others more recently built that were even more creative. Everything very comfortable. (Would have been nice to have in-room tea-making capabilities; even though they are happy to bring it out to you, we drink a LOT of tea, and didn't want to bother them that often.) The food and wine and service were great (mind you if you eat all your meals there you will start to detect a pattern/sameness, but always beautifully prepared.) They were great to arrange transportation to anywhere we wanted to go, including an attendant walking us the back way to the very nearby Giraffe Center. Sheldrick Trust is very close by--I went twice one day--as is the Karen Blixen museum and other Karen attractions. Staff friendly and professional. We lucked out when the lovely owner Paul was able to take us on a walk in the beautiful Ngong Hills. Sundowners with the other guests around the fire was a treat. The rest of our safari group was there for our third night and we had a group dinner in a beautiful special outbuilding. All in all a warm, memorable welcome to our first ever trip to Africa.

Room Tip: The houses are spread out and many involve spiral staircases, so if walking or stairs are an issue, let them know.

We came back to Ngong as we had an excellent stay during our previous safari. We were not disappointed with our second stay, the magic is still there! Not so far away, out of the city, you unplug right away. Warm beds at night, you feel like a child again in the tree house and let yourself start dreaming! Excellent food and delightful company with Paul... My sons enjoyed it so much, location,service,atmosphere... We would go back!

Room Tip: The high tree house(stairs) facing NGong hills but we did enjoy staying in other rooms too!
