Nice for a quick game drive if you do not have much time in Kenya. Pity they build that high speed railway through the middle of the park.

I have seen lions every time I have been there but once. Every other animal you would want to see in the wild (no elephants, they eat too much so they aren't there) many times each visit. I have been here 5+ times in the last few years and love it!

Go when the park first opens!

The concept of the park is amazing. It is a huge reserve of wild animals, 10 or 15 min by car from the city center, and you can use your own car!!! just make sure you have a all road car and that you have some kind of navigation and communication, not depending on the signal (since there is not much mobile phone signal). You pay the entrance ticket in the park, right before you enter it. It's the only place where you can buy the ticket and there is normally a huge queue, so the earlier you go, the smaller the queue will be. After that, you just enter the park and search for animals. It is divided by zone and they give you tips which kind of animals you can see in each area. Nevertheless, these are wild animals so, don't expect to be easy to find all animals you want to see and don't play fool with them.
It was very nice experience and we even manage to see a male lion and a rhino.

This park had excellent wildlife and plenty of it. The wildlife consisted of, White Rhino, Giraffe, Blacked-back Jackal. It was different seeing the wildlife against the back drop of sky scrappers. It is situated very close to the town of Nairobi so it is great for a half day tour.

I have been going to the Nairobi National Park since I was a kid and I can never get enough of it.

It's a great place to visit during the week days since weekends tend to have crowds of either city dwellers or lots of visitors hence not as enjoyable as say a Thursday mid-morning drive through the park.

The wide expanses, animals in the grass, birds in the air and the skyline of Nairobi city in the distance lend the place a surreal yet tantalizing aura.
