We went here as part of a tour so not sure of the food we ate is normally served at lunch. We had a set menu as we were a large group. Egyptian meal which was the best on our whole trip.
Salads, tahini and lentil soup then koftas, chicken, different Tajine and rice. Can't remember what was for desert as I ate far too much before then.
Amazing service, would highly recommend.

A superb Hotel/Restaurant on the West Bank, Luxor. Our first visit last week for a European meal, We were very satisfied with the menu and the staff very friendly and helpful. The owner Salah made us feel very welcome. It is located in the centre of the village of Gezira, only a few hundred metres from the Nile.

We felt we were taking a big chance on booking a $35 USD per night (with breakfast included) hotel, but we liked the sound of the place. We were not disappointed, in fact, it was great. It has about 20 rooms on two floors, with a large second floor restaurant open to the outside. Our room on the second floor was large, clean, comfortable and had a balcony. An advantage is that it is located on Luxor's West Bank away from most of the hustle and hassle, the disadvantage is that there are fewer choices for restaurants (but enough good ones that it was not a problem). There are historical sites on both sides of the Nile, so regardless of where you choose to stay, the ferry across the river is part of the adventure. The restaurant in the hotel is actually quite good and the young chef is very accommodating as to requests for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The hotel arranged the pick up from the railway station when we arrived from Aswan and the departure to the airport on the way back to Cairo. Another thing I liked is that the hotel posts a sign saying that the staff have been instructed not to accept tips, except only on check out where you may choose (optional) to leave an amount to be shared by all staff. In Egypt, this is a relief as there are constant demands for 'bakshish' (tip) everywhere. We stayed four nights and could have stayed longer.

This was our second visit to this hotel in three years, and we would highly recommend it. The staff is eager for its guests to feel comfortable and at home. We love that it is located on Luxor's West Bank, which is calmer and less-touristy. We ate all our meals here, as the food is excellent, and the cook, with prior arrangement, can prepare you a custom dinner, if you choose.

This hotel is tucked away in a residential/Agricultural area in Luxor West Bank. It's a family owned business and they are doing a great job. Very friendly staff and owners. The owner is the man to ask for all the Luxor excursions. With a phone call he seems to pull it all off like clock work. Great food and roof top Resturant as well.
