This is a unique property owned by the people who own the Nour-el-Nil cruise company. It is located in a small village that surrounds the Medinat Habu temple. There are pros and cons to the accommodation:
Pros: Colorful spacious rooms, some with air conditioning
Tasty but simple meals, reasonably priced, on the top deck with great views of the temple and surrounding mountains.
Very close to Valley of the Kings and other Luxor West Bank sights.
Cons: Beds that are like sleeping on a carpeted floor.
Lots of bugs—the fields around are flood irrigated and are a breeding ground for biting insects.
Not as clean as it should be—very dusty in places.
Some small, stuffy rooms, some very large.
We were happy we stayed here as it’s a unique opportunity to stay in a small village with good service.More
