“A fascinating insite into the DMZ in Korea not to be missed”
Reviewed 28 November 2011

The JSA/DMZ tour by Koridoor was a highlight of our trip to South Korea. The tour left the miliary base known as Camp Kim (USO) at 7.30 in the morning and reurned around 3.30pm. A comfortable airconditioned coach took us to the different sites of the tour including a wakj through one of the famous tunnels. Be prepared for a very steep long walk back up the tunnel after walking downhill for quite a way. We did notice a little cart of some description that seemed to ferry a few people back up to the top but we were not advised this was an option and couldnt see how it was organised but suggest you ask in advance if you are not fit enough to walk out. It is quite strenuous. This touris a must to learn about issues between North and South Korea. There is a lunch stop for Korean food at during the tour at an additional cost of around $14 each but from recommendations by others we took some sandwiches from a local French bakery which made a nice change.

“one of the best tours”
Reviewed 4 November 2011

This was the highlight to our visit in South ,an exceptional day out. There are a few options when booking these tours some half day and the one we did was a full day. Be careful which one you book as it's easy to miss the main part which is the visit inside Camp Bonifas to the JSA area. IT was fasinating to be able to be so close to the North and see the Un soldiers in situ. Very informative and hard to believe this situation between the North and South is stll ongoing. This tour is well worth the money. The only part we didn't enjoy was the visit to the 3rd tunnel a wast of time for what you see. The walking down is fine but walking back up is awful and with no warnings about people that may suffer from high blood pressure or similar problems. The tour guide only menitoned it at the last minute and we felt this should be drawn to visitors attention when you book. Apart from that it was a great visit.
