I had the Caprese 2.0 as starter, followed by a wood fire oven Margherita.
As dessert the Tiramisu was great as well.
Highly recommended for a fancy night out.

It was a surprise to see a full vegan menu which several choices for appetizers and mains. The menu was purely italian with choice between pasta and pizza.

It would be ideal if they could add also a risotto to the mains but as the menu is now is already quite good given the limited vegan options in seoul.

Simply an outstanding experience, great Italian food that will recall you in to a truly Italian Journey.
The Italian Chef realize a very attentive Cousine with traditional recipes yet refined.
Must try the pasta homemade and the amazing sea bass, cooked with respect for the ingredients and mastery. Worth the trip!

The restaurant is spacious and bright, with friendly staff.
I’ve followed my waitress recommendations and had the Caprese 2.0 (made with mozzarella foam, cherry tomatoes and basil pesto), a beef Tartare, and my personal favorite, the Risone (a risotto made with semolina, peas and fried pork belly).
The flavors are well combined, and elegantly presented.
It’s not the cheapest of the restaurants I’ve been in Seoul, but the quality of the ingredients is too.
Recommended for an authentic Italian cuisine.

We were in Seoul celebrating our anniversary so we decided to try Boccalino in the Four Seasons hotel for dinner. Despite showing up early the restaurant had our table ready but we decided to have a drink in the wine bar across the hallway. The view from the wine bar was of a beautiful "garden" but more importantly the service we received was next to none. After we were almost finished we asked if we could bring our beverages into Boccalino and our server took our drinks on a platter and brought them over for us. Totally unnecessary but another example of how incredible the service was. Shortly after we were seated we were greeted by a wonderful gentleman, "James" (Jay Hoon, Lee).

The caprese salad was full of flavor and the presentation was very unique. It was served in a small glass bowl and the mozzarella and tomatoes were layered like lasagna. Our main dishes were the diavolo pizza and a ragu pasta with the most delicious beef we've ever tasted.

Besides the high quality food, what stood out the most for us was our server, James. We was very attentive and created such a memorable experience for us. At some point during our meal we had mentioned to James that we were celebrating our anniversary so he took it upon himself to bring out a beautiful chocolate mousse cake that said "Happy Anniversary" for us. We were too full to eat the cake in the restaurant so James was nice enough to have it wrapped up in a take-out box. The packaging and attention to detail of the "to-go" box was akin to a high-end luxury designer. Thank you, James, for making our anniversary so special.

I would highly recommend Boccalino to anyone visiting Seoul. You will not regret it.
