My wife and I stayed for week and had great weather.

Positives:
-The free breakfast (included in our plan) has multiple options and is quite good. Further the lunches and dinners were quite tasty. The only meal we weren't pleased with was the Fishermen's Plate (dinner) which, for the price, only provides a small amount of food. However, the other dinners were delicious: chicken pasta, steak fillet, curry, etc
-It was super convenient to get kayaks, paddleboards, etc., and there were numerous chairs for lounging in multiple spots
-The 24hr. ferry is very fast and easy with minimal wait times; and getting a bus (150vt/person) or taxi (700vt) into Port Vila was very simple. Only once did we have to walk to the end of the road for a bus (around 5 min)
- Rooms have mosquito nets and were clean/tidy with screens on windows
- I can't say enough positive things about the staff: extremely helpful, accommodating (especially with food item substitution on menus), friendly and cheerful.
-The tour operators (Roseann and Paul) are very helpful and will coordinate any tours, making calls and scheduling for you.

Negatives:
-Wifi works around the restaurant and reception; however, even at these locations it is quite slow. In the room, wifi is relatively non-existent, so don't expect to be downloading anything or streaming.
-We had the "Go Troppo" package which included a $250 AUD credit towards food and drink, but when this gets credited it is based on the resort's exchange rate, really meaning that you're getting around $215 AUD--which is misleading.
-My wife and I went to various bars/restaurants around Port Vila and found Erakor's cocktails and beers to be on the pricier side (not outrageously), but it adds up, especially for us, since we tend to have multiple drinks per day when vacationing.

Room Tip: Lagoon rooms do not have A/C, but they do have ceiling fans and a nice breeze.

Awesome food; awesome location for a wedding! Kids very welcome; singles equally welcome; loved the island! The day tours were all organised for maximum convenience; would go back tomorrow. Easy flight; easy to move around the island.

I don't know how I will keep this brief but Erakor is simply the BEST. We have just got back from Erakor where we also happened to have our wedding and I just can't fault the place. Vanuatu is beautiful and Erakor is amazing. This is the holiday you do when u really want to escape. By the end of the holiday the staff felt like family. They are seriously the sweetest, most caring bunch. They make sure they know everyone's names and no request is too much trouble. The wifi isn't great and that's great as u have no choice but to unwind.
The wedding- magical, perfect with our group of 16 who all stayed on the island. Lita the wedding coordinator is the bomb. We love her.
Kevin who runs kids club is truly the best. My 11yo in particular really bonded with him.
Paul- guest relations- is the go to guy. So great, friendly and indulged my kids teaching him how to Dab.
Henry-welcome warrior and entertainment at dinner- so talented and lovely.
Richard- water sports- so helpful and great
Philip and Donald on the ferry- so helpful and even let my 2yo "drive" the boat
Elia- who was always so sweet and took us to visit the Erakor village school, Balcombe Grammar- the best
Annie- our waitress most mornings, always welcomed us with a smile.
Sarah- the manager- just so helpful and warm.
The accommodation is perfect, we had a family loft and suited our family of 5.
We did the pizza/movie night and Melanesian night and would highly recommend both. We also had a chefs romantic dinner and chef Alick is very talented.
The ladies in the spa have the best hands. We had a couples hot rock massage. I also had a pre wedding facial and mani /Pedi with my dtr. Wish I could have gone more as they have lots of treatments. Bliss
in a nutshell- just go. You won't regret it. We reconnected as a family. Spent special time with our friends and family, made new friends, had a magical wedding and relaxed.
We can't wait to go back

We recently spent a week on Erakor Island as we got married here. We had all 24 of our guests stay on Erakor with us and every single one of us absolutely loved it! This place is pure paradise. The staff are amazing they cannot do enough for you and had learnt all of our names by the second day and we were always greeted around the island by our first names, they were brilliant with our children and we were very sad to say goodbye to all of them. We stayed in a waterfront family loft Vila and the Honeymoon Pool Vila on our wedding night, the accommodation is fantastic, clean comfortable and has everything you could need. The Pool Vila was the best! One of the best rooms I have ever stayed in, was perfect place to get ready on the day of the wedding. Lita the wedding planner is truly magnificent and we cannot speak highly enough of her. Our wedding was 100% perfect and it was because of Lita and her attention to detail, nothing was a hassle and she was always available at any time for us. From start to finish in planning our wedding Erakor was so easy to deal with and communication was excellent! We highly recommend Erakor for a wedding, it was just magical. Every single meal we had in Aqua restaurant was also excellent, so tasty and fresh and plenty to choose from. The 24hr ferry is a great service and was always so quick and never had to wait too long, thanks Donald we all loved you! We also made good use of the day spa and every service was excellent and the staff so nice. We also did the movie and pizza night on the Tuesday which was so so good and the pizzas the best, our kids loved this! We also did the Melanesian Feast night on the Thursday and this was also a must and our entire group loved it. Thankyou again Erakor Island Resort this place is truly amazing and we cannot wait to come back :)

Everything about Erakor is just amazing. The location, friendly staff, overall facilities, quality of the rooms and great food make for the perfect escape. Great lagoon to explore above and below the water or just walk to the Southern end of the island and swim in the ocean. We spoiled ourselves and stayed in the Oceanview suite with private pool. Pure luxury. Just a suggestion, even some bottled water in the bar fridge would be nice as it is a bit of a walk back to the bar! Eating at the restaurant was a wonderful experience with a full breakfast, great light lunches and first class dining for dinner. Some of the best beef I have ever had. Such friendly staff who would do anything to help and very sad to say goodbye. We will be back.

Room Tip: Rooms on western side of island not as exposed to the prevailing south eastern winds
