Check in was efficient.

The room was quite a walk from reception in this rather large spread out complex - a little cumbersome with luggage... if you want to take your luggage yourself that is!

The room has a kitchenette but the location seems to be some way away from any facilities or groceries you might visit to fill on your fridge or cook with.

Occupancy levels seemed to be very low.

Comfortable beds, ok tv and channels. Shower water lukewarm even after pressing the solar booster button.

The WiFi is impossible to use in the rooms, but does work ok in the reception and cafe areas.

The breakfast was rather bland and boring and with a very limited choice - the omelette station being the saving grace.

The gym is excellent - a real surprise. Wish we had discovered it on our first day.

The swimming pool looked to be full of green algae... out of use and a health hazard.

We booked a lift to the airport for 2.30pm... when we went to take the shuttle, it was clearly at the airport and had to rush back for us. Only 15 mins from the airport, but lucky we had left plenty of time. Best to remind reception half an hour before you plan to leave.

The picture of the pool must be from 2014-2015. I have not seen it look that blue since 2015.
The algae stuck to side of the pool has been an ongoing issue since late 2015 which sees the pool going very green which they blame on the pool pump being broken. I would say they have had plenty of time to get the pump fixed and to stop making excuses. Dumping chemicals into the pool just to camouflage the issue is senseless, at the end of the day the pool is still contaminated needs emptying and thorough cleaning of the sides and floor of the pool. Sad to see signs of the second pool going the same way. Sorry Laguna management but guest comments get us no where.

Stayed here for 10 days. It’s an ok hotel. Had to change rooms as the aircon and phone didn’t work in the first one. Rooms are large, but ammenities are basic. The restaurant, La Cafe is pretty bad. Had breakfasts, lunch and dinners there. The food is not tasty, the seafood tasted frozen, and the breakfasts were very basic. The gym is well equipped though a few pieces of equipment were faulty. However it is a safe place and I never had any security concerns

Needed to spend a week in Port Moresby for business. The preferred hotel was booked for APEC and the Laguna was suggested as a great alternative.

This was a very good choice. The staff were friendly and helpful. Service was excellent and the room very well appointed.

The hotel has good business facilities although like the rest of PNG the internet access was limited. The venue was very secure and well managed. A great place to stay

PNG parents of kids attending St John's Cawaci had a Friday evening to raise funds at Laguna pool side. Quite a attendance by the parents plus PNG Fijians and Fiji high Com staff, enjoyable apart from a slight rain that short of spoil the environment for dancing. There was a bit of kava , bit flavour, pic attached
The pool side is quite nice to have a private function if there is no rain otherwise everybody enjoyed the Friday night out.
