Description: Vinapho is the only Vietnamese restaurant in Bolivia and the food it offers is 100% Vietnamese. It is absolutely not any type of fusion and it is cooked with Vietnamese ingredients like Amomum Tsaoko and star anise. The menu consists of sauteed or fried noodles with veggies, a variety of meats or tofu, and our delicious Pho soup. We also offer a lunch menu for Bs35 from 12:00 to 14:30 and consists of a soup, spring roll (pork and shrimp), sauteed noodles with meat and veggies, cup of ice cream and a glass of natural juice.

Vinapho was the first restaurant we visited after arriving in La Paz, based on a recommendation from the staff at our hostel. Vinapho serves delicious food and has great wifi! The staff are very attentive and helpful. :)

We came here on the back of some reviews. Really good food!

Most options came with the option of beef/chicken/tofu and food was really nice. Very substantial portions. We were brought broth (vegetarian for me) from the kitchen whilst we waited for our food. Some of the best banana fritters I’ve ever had!

(Also great WiFi connection and they had no objection to us using it for an hour after we’d eaten!)

I really wanna give some positive comments, but I really can’t, because I ate some bugs, not just one, but more than ten!!!!! A lot of bugs in curry!
In the beginning, they just denied and said just some ginger, but it’s not!!!
OMG, I ate like ten bugs!!!
Anyway, in the end they just didn’t charge our food and admitted, which was great!

Walked in at 1:30 and it was full! We waited for 20 minutes to get a table and it was worth the wait. We had the shrimp Pho and a couple of fried spring rolls - tasty, tasty, tasty - can't wait to go back.

It was a cold rainy day and we wanted some hot soupy (Asian) food so visited Vinapho which was ranked highly on TripAdvisor. While the food was tasty, it’s not authentic and the flavor is somewhat localized. The Tom Yum soup came with tons of capsicum and carrots which was somewhat unexpected. Nevertheless, it was a good tasty and fulfilling meal.

But I’m leaving this review to correct another review which said the food was authentic - As someone living in Asia and who have visited Thailand and Vietnam multiple times, the food here is localized, presumably because of difficulties in getting some of the typical ingredients, as well as to suit the local taste. (We saw quite some locals eating at the restaurant)
