Absolutely amazing with travel tour who know how to drive on the high dunes and make the journey fun and exciting. Beautiful beach where swimming is possible. Very salty warm sea water. A thrill.

Visit to Khor al udeid is the one of the must to do in Qatar. This place is also called as inland sea of Qatar. This is located around 80 km from Doha. There are many private tour agencies who used to conduct this trip with various options. I was travelling with a friend who was born in Qatar . A 4 x 4 is a must to ride to inland sea.A word of caution, never try to ride by yourself in your vehicle as you may be getting isolated inside sand dunes without knowing directions.A service of experienced driver is a must .

The ride through sand dunes starts from mesaied .Here the air of tires are reduced to ride through sand smoothly.A person with lots of camels are found here and tourists can ride on camels or take photos with them.

Then the real fun begins. There are various paths towards the inland sea.Starting with a smooth rides to a rough roller coaster ride is very exciting.you can see sea on one side and sand dunes on other rides and we are travelling in between these two which is very exciting. The journey is around 40 - 50 km long.one good thing about these areas are network is available all over the area.

In many places we can see many tents during camping seasons.Visitors may spend 1 night inside desert in these modern tents.this travel is extended upto Saudi border where you can see Saudi across the sea. You will be on roaming with Saudi telecom in this location.you can visit sunset in this area and its very nice experience, people can do swimming also in the sea.

Overall its a very nice experience. It will be bit expensive while using private tour companies.

My friends and I went on a half day trip to the inland sea with "365 Adventures - Qatar", a relatively new tours company in Doha, but an excellent one nonetheless.

The trip included stopping mid-way for a camel ride (QR20), more than an hour of incredibly fun and safe dune bashing, and then swimming in the inskand sea.

It was a very fun trip at a reasonable price (QR170) and I would def do it again.

I was on a memory trip with my daughter who was born in Doha in 1986. Going in 4x4 convoy down to the Inland Sea was a regular activity so we had to do it again! We went with Qatar Inbound Tours, a small company, but very good. We did 3 different tours with them. Amir was our driver for the this trip. You have the first stop at Mesaieed to let the tyres down making it easier to drive on sand. A bit of a tourist point with brief camel rides for a huge sum. Holding the falcon photo opportunities also for a price. There are toilets and sweetened tea is offered. Amir gave us a truly breathtaking ride over the dunes. Obviously well used to dune driving, the video of Amir's driving made my husband gulp! His dune driving was far more sedate! The dune landscape is beautiful and makes a welcome break to the jammed traffic and building sites that is Doha. We stopped at the Inland Sea for a short break and then went on to the Qatar Inbound Tour camp for lunch and a swim. If you are worried by roller coaster driving they well calm it down for you, but try and go for it. I could add lots of photos, but there are already lots out there. This was probably the favourite part of our holiday. Thank you Qatar Inbound Tours!
