This is one of several traditional Iranian restaurants in Tehran that offers food and live traditional music.

Located near Vanak Square, the venue is on Gandi Street set underneath a row of shops.

First impressions are great. Amazing traditional decor and staff wearing old fashioned traditional Persian clothing.

The welcome is warm and friendly. Tables are set out across the vast floor, with the venue hosting up to 300 covers.

Set in the centre is the stage for the musicians, and throughout the evening, (2100 - 0000), several singers and groups entertain the diners.

The last singer is exveptionally good with his white jacket and dyed black hair. He is warm, funny and has a great character.

The waiting staff are friendly and attend to all your needs. (The tall skinny chap is very cool).

The reason for giving this venue an average review rating is due to the food. The point of this venue is more for the music than the food which I feel lets the place down.

I ordered the Lamb Shishlik, (which should be 6 lamb chops), but only 5 were on the plate, and even then they were very average.

There is a 'help yourself' salad buffet which is essentially loads of things coated in mayonaise... again, average at best.

But overall, the staff, the welcome, the service and the music are excellent and a must for anyone in Tehran to try once.

Had a family reunion lunch (main meal in Iran) at this place. The 2-person live music complemented our meal the included a generous and complete salad bar. The service was excellent. The seating, however, was somehow tight. The internal architecture and design of the restaurant is beautiful transplanting you into the ancient times. They have a seat elevator for people with difficulty in mobility; which exceeded my expectations.

If your looking for great Iranian traditional band (live music) combined with Iranian cuisine this is the place to visit for a memorable dinner. (Band is only performing at night)

All sorts of Kebab are served and you can try Iranian style tea and dessert with unique and famous surprising tea serving !
Price is expensive compared to other restaurants but considering entertainment it is worthy.

You should try
