Good location opposite the Gudaibiya Palace and a short walk to the Grand Mosque. Hotel will provide complimentary airport transfers if you email them beforehand on ramares@batelco.com.bh (a tip I read about on this website but not mentioned on the hotel website).
Although we arrived before 2pm check-in the reception apologised for our room not being available and gave us a complimentary bar drink voucher. Room, although not spacious, was clean and comfortable with the usual sat TV, mini bar, bathrobes and slippers. Decent A/C but no view from room to speak of, just other buildings!
Oasis pool deck on 1st floor with bar, although the pool isn't heated so was too cold when we were there for even a quick dip. The waiter was extremely attentive, refilling our water glasses with ice when it had melted I thought was a nice touch. The Exchange pub downstairs is open from noon until late, serves a good selection of snacks and bar food with a good range of beers on tap...what more can you ask! The restaurant did set price lunches and dinners during the week with theme evenings also, the food and service couldn't be faulted.
Overall this hotel offers everything the tourist (us) or business person would require for a few days stay and it's location within walking distance to several alternative restaurants and JJ's Irish bar 3 mins walk away if you're looking for some late night revellery is ideal.
One word of warning is the taxis: they DON'T use their meters so agree a reasonable price before you get in, but I felt they were taking advantage of the tourist when asking 5Dirham for a 5 minute taxi ride, best to walk away and they'll soon agree to halve their price! Shame that you now have to haggle instead of relying on their honestly.

We stay here all the time, sometimes overnight other times for a couple of nights. Been doing it for quite a few years now. It really is like going home, the staff all know you name, what you drink, your childrens names etc etc.
It is really good value for money, all you do is ask for your corporate rate and hey presto there is the nice discount.
Nothing is too much trouble.
The Friday buffet is excellent value for money, not huge selections but more than enough to choose from.
The rooms are clean, modern and a/c is good.
It is in easy walking distance of the many restaurants, bars, etc. Ask the staff to point you in the right direction.
Room service is good, the pool is refreshing and the pool bar serves anything from tea at the pool side to a cocktail, plus food.
Give it a try, it is worth it.

This is a great hotel in Bahrain where I have stayed several times. The staff are friendly, the rooms clean and well appointed. The breakfasts in the restaurant are excellent. Room service meals are great and resonably priced. The free Wifi Internet access in the rooms is an addes bonus and is the reason I keep coming back to this hotel. The pool and gym are also great. The area is quiet and I have never been bothered by noise at this hotel (unlike others in Bahrain). I would thoroughly recommend this hotel...it is not five star level but is quite nice - I would rate it 4 stars and am planning to stay there again.

There are two Ramada Hotels in Bahrain. The “Ramada Hotel” and the “Ramada Palace Hotel”. I recommend the Ramada Hotel.

The picture in the Tripadvisor website is wrongly published. The Ramada Hotel is a white building with green windows, located just opposite of the Royal Gudibiya Palace. It is a four star property with 123 rooms.

The complimentary hotel shuttle was waiting for me at the airport, but as too frequently the baggage was once again lost by Qatar airlines. The shuttle driver brought me to the airline office and waited until the formalities were accomplished. The hotel provided me free of charge an overnight kit. The check-in and check out was done efficiently. Free transportation to the airport was again provided at departure.

The room I had is spacious and very clean. The bathroom spotless, the towels perfectly clean. The kingsize bed comfortable. Over 30 TV channels of which half are in English, incl. 2 German and one in French. The pleasant surprise is that the internet access by Wifi from the room is free and the signal is for once exceptionally strong, so to give continued access.

I heard no noise whatsoever. The Exchange pub serving beer and liquors is situated in an annexe building and gives no nuisance. The price for the drinks is very reasonable for Bahrain standards.

The breakfast is served at the “Le Jardin Restaurant”. It is far from exciting; but included in the room rate. The French croissants were heavy and definite not “French" at all”.

Many restaurants are located In the back streets of the hotel. They serrve French, Italian, Chinese, Indian and Thai cuisine.

I had a comfortable stay at the Ramada Hotel Bahrain and can recommend it.
