Transit. On way to West Bank. 30 min to hotel. Quick check in. Value for money. Arrived in Amman at midnight. Border post opens after 8am. We were fasting. Hotel arranged early breakfast (3am) at no additional cost. Rested till 10am. Hotel arranged inexpensive transfer to King Hussein Bridge. Air con worked well as very hot.

We liked Madaba and Hotel Mariam so much that we decided to stay we decided to spend an extra day and night in Madaba on our way back from Petra. Mariam is not a fancy Western five star hotel - it is simple but cute. Rooms are not very large but neat, clean and functional. The breakfast is delicious (from eggs to falafel and pita and hummus from tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, yogurt and incredible home made jams and even pancakes mmm!). It was also very pleasant to spend a peaceful evening at the bar near the pool after a busy day visiting and shopping. However the staff was the best: Charl and everybody else were friendly, helpful and dealt with great care of all the details. Would love to visit them again!

Stayed here for the night after arriving from the airport before heading to Aqaba. The rooms were ready and clean when we arrived. We had dinner there as well which was decent. We booked the two four bed rooms and they were not too roomy, but were comfortable enough for the night. Breakfast was simple and decent.

It's a great room for the amount they ask. However the Internet is extremely bad. And the place is quite understaffed. They're nice people, but it would be nice if they were more available. There is a fairly decent restaurant with a bar. But the service is very slow.

Hello,

Thank you for staying with us, the problem with poor internet happens for 6 days because we have a group stayed with us for 4 weeks they been using internet more than we can afford. We have a limited monthly download from Orange the providing company we been asking to buy more from them to cover the demand but they gave us the maximum for the month of May. Today we start new month and the internet is great. It was a temporary problem we could not convince the ORANGE company to buy more during the month of May. now it is solved.
If you read others reviews you fined that internet been always good except for the month of May.
Thank you.
Wish you all the best and hope to see you next time in Jordan.

Mariam is an institution. They helped put tourism in Madaba on the map, and their staff and owner (Charlie) are incredibly gracious, friendly and helpful. I was even invited to Charlie's home for dinner one night. A unique experience.
