“Good Local Food”
Reviewed 17 February 2012

Went here on our first night in Jordan. The atmosphere was excellent and the waiter was very friendly and had a great sense of humour.

We were three friends and two of us had Jordanian dishes (both had the beef and onion) which were excellent cooked just right which we though were good value at 6JOD each. The third person in our group had a Mexican dish which he found to be over cooked, he mentioned this to the waiter and the owner who were really good and took his comments well. I suppose the morale is to eat the local food which we could not fault. Beer was served here and priced at 3.50JOD. However, when we went it was happy hour and we got three beers for every two purchased.

Overall a very nice experience on our first night in Jordan and would more than recommend this place to eat. But please try the local food as this was excellent

“A wonderfull atmosphere”
Reviewed 11 January 2012

The restaurant has a great menu, the food is very good, but the service is perfect, because the atmosphere is an axcellent mixing of professional and familiar place. It is the best place in Madaba to meet other travellers, to stay to talk untill late night and to find news with the people and the use free of the computer and the wi-fi !

“A Diamond in the Rough”
Reviewed 5 January 2012

My buddies and I just finished a city tour of Madaba. We have been walking all the city and just came out of Saint Georges Church. We were very hungry and had our fill of outside cafes or corner snack and go places. We were walking down the street when we found the sign of Queen Ayola Resturant. We were greeted with a warm welcome from Waleed our host and waiter. The look of this place is awesome with the dark wood and the traditional Jordan red and black design. It's like "welcome to Jordan with a little touch of home. The food was great and prepared fresh, and variaty of choices international and local. We found our spot to relax. "This place was great" 10 of us with drinks and fresh food and awesome service, at awesome price. There is no place better than Ayola Resturant. It's our diamond in the rough!!

“Average pick from a bad bunch”
Reviewed 11 November 2011

Reading the other reviews of this place I thought this might be a hidden gem in a town that has few good eating options. It's not. The food was edible but not great. They serve wine but with no choice (beyond red or white). It's a cheap eat - nothing more or less

“What an excellent find this was !!!”
Reviewed 12 October 2011

The steak here was one of the best I have ever had - only regret is that we didnt eat here before - just had a drink and snacks (which were also brill). Chips were excellent and of course the fresh tomatoes and onions were so tasty (unlike the ones here in UK) you could taste the food !! Good portions too!
The two owners are very attentive and helpful (make sure you get there on a day that has happy hour - which is fantastic value!!). Cannot recommend enough. We understand the rooms are also excellent value having spoken to people that were staying there but we had already booked into our hotel from UK.
I urge everyone to go here!!!!
