I was a regular at this place and one of the great sadnesses of my life was to move away from this amazing food. But every time I return to Amman I make sure I stop in to Joury and enjoy the best meal in Jordan. Favorite dishes are the mohamara bel jouz, the motabal shamandar, the hummous with basil, the fetet makdous (stuffed eggplant) (if you order this ask that they pour hot ghee on it at the table *kisses fingers in delectable excitement), the grilled kibbeh (add the pomegranate mollasas on the table and you will not be sorry), and the lamb chunks with fat (I don't eat the fat but it's there for amazing flavor!!)!
