The hotel is located more than 10km from the center so you need a taxy every time you wanna visit the city (4 JOD at least). Got a room in the 2nd floor, under the restaurant. The first night there was a wedding in the hotel, the noise of the music in the tiny room was so high that it was like trying to sleep in a disco. We complained with the reception 3 times, every time they answered they were going to finish soon but actually they went on till midnight. In the early morning noise of chairs from the restaurant above our heads. After a new complain they moved us in a new room but same floor, same noise from the restaurant plus from the window on the noisy road. After 3 nights there we were so tired we changed hotel.
The first night we tried the restaurant: below average quality.
The breakfast is very poor, we tried to ask some fruit but they didn’t provide it cos “would cost too much providing for all the customers.“
At the check out they even tried to make us paying as extra the water we drunk at the buffet dinner (the bottle was available on a table for all guests). Definitely a very bad experience.

Our daughter was a CET student attending class at the U of Jordan for Fall 2019. This was a Fall semester abroad from her university in the states. Our desire was to be
close to campus and this fit the bill. There is a pedestrian tunnel that runs under Queen Alia Street and it is 50 steps from Gerasa Hotel’s front door and pops up at the entrance gates to U of J. We had a King bed suite with a couch in a small study that folded down to a bed. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with tea, coffee, juices , cereals , falafel, omelette station to name a few. When we arrived we did not have hot water. We called to the front desk and asked them to ‘turn on the hot water’ and it was taken care of immediately. Gerasa Hotel made arrangements for a private driver to pick us up from the airport and when we got thru security there was our name on a sign that the driver held. Could not have asked for a better experience upon arriving to Amman.

We arrived just after midnight and the check in was quick and efficient. The room was small but nice and well maintained so all seemed well. Unfortunately at 6am we were woken by the pneumatic drill and digger right outside our first floor window. When we complained to the reception they just shrugged their shoulders and said they were sorry. The hotel shouldn’t be letting rooms out at the front of the property that guests will not be able to sleep in. The hotel was far from full and there were many other rooms available. We were offered a change of room at 8am but as were were leaving at 9am it was pointless.
