Spent a few days here whilst touring Jordan. A disastrous start to our stay whereby we were told there was no booking for us when we arrived at 4 in the morning and debating this issue with the night manager for 40 minutes before eventually being allowed a room at his great personal direction only to find out later they had given our reservation to someone else (similar name) who should not have even been staying at that hotel!!!

After that it was okay. The rooms (we were upgraded to a superior room) were brilliant and nice and big with everything we needed. Breakfast and dinner were both buffets and other than the first night whereby there were loads of Oriental groups who think they have a divine right to push in wherever they want, all was good. Food from the buffet was a bit samey but always hot and plenty of variety. Location wasn't great in terms of things close to the hotel but didn't worry us at all.

Overall the hotel was pretty good and I would stay there again but not in tour season...

First of all, the staff was super friendly and helpful with me. All that i asked for was dane ex. A driver to the airport was waiting on the time. My room was great, fresh and clean. Night staff was very friendly. They came with a little food and green tea when they notes that I'm sick. The only thing that u need to work more on is the breakfast ur breakfast have no ID. U have to decide if u will have an american buffet or middle east buffet? U have really to think about that.
Many thank for Qasim who was in contact with me when i need.

We stayed here in October 2019 on two occasions as part of a tour. Our first room fronted the main road and was very noisy. For a hotel less than 25 years old it was surprising to find it did not have adequate noise proof glazing. The second room we had did not have a window!! The purported window looked into a laundry storage area!
Breakfast was poor with limited fruit salad. At dinner unless you were quick and early the food was not replenished. We had a la carte on one night. Beef tenderloin with vegetables and mashed potato turned out to be three pieces of carrot, three pieces of parsnip with chips! The beef was to have pepper corn sauce but instead had been covered with beef barbeque sauce.
We left before breakfast (which was paid for) on our last day and our request for one banana was met by a blank refusal by restaurant staff with the duty manager professing to be unable to intervene. So much for luxury and arab hospitality. Oh and it is 5 km from the city centre

This is a nicely furnished hotel in the heart of Amman. It is pleasantly decorated and the rooms have what you would expect (fridge, kettle, hairdryer and safety deposit box) The rooms aren't very large and the breakfast buffet isn't great but I found it more than adequate and would happily come here again.

We stayed in the Sulaf twice, once at the beginning and once at the end of our stay. the gentleman who checked us in very early in the morning on our first visit was lovely, friendly and greeted us warmly. We were quickly settled in our room. The first room was large with a single and small double bed. The bathroom wasn't particularly clean in this room as there was a channel between the basin and shower cubicle where dirt and muck had accumulated, and whilst it might have been tricky to clean it was unsightly. There was only ever one loo roll, the one on the roll, and it wasn't always a new one. The beds were amazingly comfortable, like sleeping on clouds. We were in an inner room, with a window over an inner light well, so there was no light or noise issues. Our second room was smaller but had a more recently updated feel about it and very clean. The queen sized bed was again so, so comfy. Still only one loo roll! You can't drink the water and every hotel we stayed in gave you a 1.5l complimentary bottle per day in the room. Extras were relatively expensive from the mini bar so we found local supermarkets to buy more at a quarter of the price. Buffet food for breakfast was quite good, eggs cooked freshly and plenty to help yourself too. The evening food was very samey, night after night and we ate out on two nights rather than feel bored again. The standard was ok but the selection was poor and repeated.
Not all members of staff were particularly friendly or appeared particularly happy - this could be a cultural thing and once particularly grumpy receptionist tried to persuade us that we should check out a night early - luckily I had the paperwork to show that our last night was the seventh and final night of our tour package, even though our flight was leaving in the early hours we were entitled to keep the room.
The neighbouring streets had plenty of shops (bakeries, sweet shops, ice cream shops, supermarkets, mobile phone shops etc) and we felt perfectly safe going for a wander after dinner. We even found a liquor store so my OH to pick up a couple of cans of lager as none of the hotels we stayed in serviced alcohol. The falafel restaurant opposite was extremely good value and portions were large, so order with caution. The cake/sweet shop opposite was also worth a visit to see the amazing creations.
