We stayed at the Norman hotel (a perfect place to stay if you like luxury boutique, not cheap of course, but a well-earned "small leading") and visited the sushi bar on the rooftop rather by chance, but really enjoyed it. The nigiri were extraordinary (both as to quality and as to variety) and we really enjoyed our visits there. service very good, always with a sense of humour. A second time we visited they unfortunately missed our order, but reacted very professionally. So in the end 5points!

My wife and i joined another couple last night for drinks and japanese food at Dinings. This place is amazing! Its quite comfy inside but we like that. We started with cocktails which were great and then we sat down to eat. The head chef Chris actually came out to speak to us which was a nice touch. He used to work at nobu and you can tell from his high standard of foods. Sushi was uniformly amazing and everything was so fresh!
Desserts were crazy! we had the creme brulee. the presentation was out of this world!
This place is quite expensive but worth it for special occasions.
Special mention to the English chef...crazy guy!

We came here a few times on special occasions because this rooftop restaurant on top of the Norman hotel in very expensive. Putting the price a side the location is great (they have a valet service) the view of the city from the terrace is beautiful, and above all - the food is simply to die for. So if you are looking for the best sushi in the city and willing to pay for it - this is the place for you !

Had a dinner at the roof restaurant , which is a nice location , the service is very good , the food is also good , but wait for the check..... it is a rip off .. over 120 us for dinner per person , and it is only sushi, and not that good , I would never return

Our diner was a surreal experience: we got very tasty starters, excellent and special sushi and my mai dish (black cod) was so good, I had to order a second serving!

The service on the the other hand was artificial and exaggeratedly given a posh or high level attitude. The result was arrogance.... the waiter made fun of us (was trying to hide that he had to laugh) when ordering, after he had recommended that we order in a "certain structure".....I found that very belittling and offending, especially in a place/hotel where so much attention is given to details and prices are easily reaching levels of gourmet restaurants in HK, Tokyo, Singapore, London or NYC.

A pitty that a waiter can spoil a good culinary experience like that.
