My husband and I ordered 2 meat (chicken) thalis. Both were authentic
and delicious. This is a lovely location in real Indian atmosphere.
Service was very good. We had not been there for a while and were
delighted to see that the high standard of food continues to be served
there.

We visited Tandoori restaurant just coincidentally and were so heavenly surprised about the food: just couldn’t get enough of that delicious tali...service was so warm and welcoming...and very attentive to offer additional portions several times. Mango lassie tastes like paradise...
Prices are absolutely moderate: two persons with water, lassie and a huge plate of tali with rice, naan and papadum was 156 old.
We certainly will come back when in Tel Aviv again.

Friends took us to Tandoori on a very busy Friday night . Here is what we found .

The place is owned by an Indian lady called Rina , who promotes herself as an Indian food guru . A large TV screen in the restaurant is showing her cooking , and the place also highlights the dinner she cooked for the Israeli and Indian Prime Ministers . So far so good .

BUT - Marketing is one thing , and reality is another .

The place was so full that a staff of 10 was needed to attend to the guests . Instead , there were only 3 persons trying to cope - unsucccessfully - with managing the place and serving the guests . So , without the owner , and with 3 overworked poor guys running around not able to tell left from right , the place was a mess .

The restaurant itself is old and dated . It appears as if ages have passed since any money was invested in making it look even remotely attractive . The look , feel , tables , chairs et al are ancient . No table clothes , and the tables were not wiped clean when one set of customers departed , and another settled in .

The food was basically average , with the red chicken tandoori the pick of the selection . The samosas , aloo gobi , other various vegetables and the curry chicken we tried were certainly acceptable , but not exceptional . Pricing is normal to Israeli restaurants .

Unless somebody starts to manage it properly , there is no incentive or interest to go back there . Right now it has absentee ownership and management , no service , overworked staff and mediocre food . Not a way to make customers happy ! .

We were visiting family and friends in Israel. Our friends daughter in-law suggested we try a great Indian restaurant.
So we walk from our hotel along the Mediterranean Sea to Tandoori, about two blocks inland. She was right, great authentic Indian cuisine. We tried 13 items off the menu. They were all excellent. My favorite appetizer was the onion Bhakia. The Chicken Tikka Masala was to die for.
Don’t forget to order Naam, the best I have ever had. Price were fair don’t forget it’s in shekels , service was great.

Arrived to be greeted by an unfriendly waiter. Left waiting for 25 minutes without any acknowledgement. Not able to rate the food as not provided...
