A lovely small place with family style wooden tables. As the title says had the best soup there, it was fresh and full of flavors. Very reasonably priced

This small place, which is only open for lunch offers a few choices for reasonable prices. Big wooden shared tables/bar inside. The staff was very nice and the food was amazing (!) and tasted classic Japanese. I'll be back!

I couldn't believe someone opened a Japanese canteen in the shuk! The business hour is not so friendly for office people not working in the area (it does delivery but till 18:00). And the best time to eat a bowl of warm don is at night!
Anyway we managed to try in the late afternoon. The menu is simple, not cheap but average in shuk area. We took the oyako don (which is rice and running egg on top of rice) and deep fried fish don, plus asahi beer. The dishes tasted really authentic, no Israeli "special touch". The rice could be a little bit more fluffy but the flavor was there.
The Japanese lady in the shop was really sweet, big plus!

Okasan is a small japanese restaurant locted in the down part of hacarmel market, they serve basicly a plate so called donburi which is rice ball topped with differnt ingredients like chicken, beef or pork and two vegan option as well. and they have sometimes a special or two, they serve a good beer that called hite. all the plates are very tasty and recomended! my favorites is the pork and the one with the mushrooms and soy noodles. go there for power lunch you want regret!
