The Arthur Hotel was a wonderful experience. Excellent service from each and every member of the hotel’s staff. Very attractive and comfortable room. Breakfast was plentiful, tasty, and replenished frequently. Our experience here has sold our family on the Atlas Group of hotels. Will definitely stay at the Arthur on our next visit to Jerusalem.

We found the personnel at the Arthur Hotel to be wonderfully helpful. From leaving our suitcases for two days before we checked in (tour to Jordan) to finding a taxi to pick us up at Sde Dov airport, they provided answers for all our needs. The room is a little smaller than other big hotels, but it was cozy and clean and the bed was comfortable.

Room Tip: Rooms on the back might be quiter.

its well located, and the staff is friendly and helpful - they have to deal with clients who are un happy.
For me, calling s th Boutique JUST because the rooms are small - its a bit of a farce.

At least the Hotel could work on its breakfast offering. its food presentation is weak and the coffee is brewing on hot plates for hours....

not to come back

Location is great, right downtown, close to restaurants, shops, central market and old city. Check in and check out were efficient. Nice front desk staff. Room and bathroom were really small. I was traveling alone and even then there was very little room to maneuver. A small frosted glass window in the bedroom opened to an outside staircase, which made it really easy for anyone to walk into the room if the window were open. So that was useless, which made the room very dark. The bathroom had a larger frosted glass window, which again could be easily accessed from the outside so I couldn't have it open. So no fresh air although the AC was working ok. Although the room (#207) was small and dark, it was quiet and nicely decorated, which made it inviting. There were a small closet, a small desk to work, safe, small fridge (no minibar) and coffee / tea in the room. Bed and pillows were nice. Toiletries were of low quality so bring your own. No free bottles of water in the room but you can ask at the front desk and they'll give them out for free ( of course I wasn't told that; I found out by accident). I also found out you can ask for specialty coffee (espresso, cappuccino, etc) and eggs made to order at breakfast. Again no one informed me of that; I saw other guests asking for it. Breakfast was ok but lacked a variety of fruits (only watermelon and melon available) and yogurt, for example; yet, there were a lot of options for salad, hummus, tomatoes, olives, fish, etc, typical of the Middle East. Happy hour was a bit of a joke. The wine wasn't of great quality, lots of crackers but no cheese to go with, lots of veggies but no dip. Good coffee. Free wifi of good speed in the room. There's a jazz club right next door that could be noisy, depending on the room location so be smart about asking for a room away from the club. I had no problems with that. Overall I found the daily rate quite high for the accommodations and food provided.
I stayed at a sister property a few blocks away (Harmony) last time I was in Jerusalem. The rooms are larger and the food is better, but the rates are much higher and not worth it. In that sense, the Arthur does offer a better deal, though more expensive than it should be.

Dear PatoColumbus,
Thank you for your review, guest feedback is important to us and we thank you for taking the time to share all of your thoughts. First, we are happy that you were pleased with the location of the hotel and with the front desk staff. We are sorry you were not as pleased with your room. Please be aware that unfortunately, the windows in that specific room are very small, we can understand your concern regarding fear that anyone can enter the room however in our opinion the window is so small that even a small child would find it difficult to get through. Nevertheless we do understand that our opinions in this matter differ and we respect your view greatly. Please note the front desk staff is available 24/7 for any questions or concerns you have and we are sorry if you felt we did not provide enough information to you. We thank you for choosing to stay at the Arthur Hotel.
