I love this place and will be going back because the owner and staff are warm, friendly and very caring. Rooms are amazing, with bedspread quilts made from beautifully embroidered Palestinian dresses. Food is very good and the restaurant atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.

We stayed here one night as our previous hotel was fully booked... I’m so glad we did! The building is an old Palestinian mansion; it oozes atmosphere. Our room was small but comfortable, the beds could’ve been softer, but the ultra modern en suite shower room was gorgeous.
The staff here are so helpful and friendly; they really do their utmost to make your stay as good as it can be.
The location, just a few minutes walk from both the Damascus Gate and the Garden Tomb ( a must visit ) is spectacular. Just round the corner is the Damascus Gate light rail stop which takes you into modern Jerusalem.
I read a review before we stayed slating the breakfast: don’t believe it! Do expect a typical Palestinian/ Israeli breakfast. Don’t expect a full English! But do expect fresh fruit, cold meats, cheese, yogurt, olives, bread and jam, tomatoes and other salad veg and humous, hard boiled eggs too. You won’t get hungry!

We went here twice. Once to have a light lunch upon arrival and then some days later to have a group dinner. In both occasions we have really enjoyed the food taste (Palestinian original) and the whole atmosphere. The staff is always kind and ready to help and the owner present and active to satisfy all the guests request. Nothing better!

Staff were not kind at all.
The hostel is located right in the center which was great, but besides that the rooms were tinny. They hadn’t taken any of our requests under considerations. Although it’s a great location I wouldn’t come back

This delightful hotel is beautifully furnished, comfortable and friendly. It is also very convenient for the old city of Jerusalem being only 5 minutes walk from the Damascus Gate and also from a tram stop. Breakfast is plentiful, albeit served in the basement, rather than in the sunny restaurant. Food in the restaurant is good and not too expensive. There is a lovely atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our bathroom was a little cramped and, being tall, I had to perform acrobatics to sit on the toilet! This was a minor inconvenience, however and we would certainly recommend this hotel for independent travellers visiting old Jerusalem.

Room Tip: One with a balcony is best. There is some noise from the street, but it never stopped us sleeping!
