Hotel is basic, food also basic, but plenty of it. They cannot cater for food allergies or intolerances.
More to point, asked where I could get stamps from, he said give me the money and I will post them. He LIED, did not post a single one, some were messages to self.

Might not seem much but to me were as important as the holiday itself.

You go for this hotel if you want to be really near to the Old City and don't want to pay too much. It isn't going to win any prizes for style, but the breakfast is quite good as are the evening buffets. You are just across the road from the Old City and the Garden Tomb is an easy walk.

Tip: ask for a rear room as the ones on the road can be noisy.

This is a budget hotel with no fancy frills. It is a simple family run hotel which is clean, safe and in an excellent location just outside the old city walls, close to Herod and Damascus Gates. We stayed on a half-board basis and the breakfast was standard buffet breakfast with cereals, fruit, salads, cold meats, cheese, pitta, boiled eggs, juices, teas and coffees. The evening meal was excellent with a choice of red and white meat dishes, however not much choice if you are a vegetarian. Overall this was a good hotel with friendly and helpful staff and I would recommend this to others if you just want somewhere clean, safe and close to all attractions.

If you're a hotel brand lover or after a 5* grand experience this is not for you. It is however a personable, family run hotel in a great location to explore the sights, with easy access to the new areas too. We also took a tram from here to Yad Vashem, Israel's official memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. The rooms are clean and with a/c, all food was all prepared fresh and there was plenty of choice. All in all a great location and safe too.

I've stayed in this hotel at least 10 times over 5 years. Its probably the best pick for budget hotels close to Old City. Its simple but clean, and hotel staff is friendly, helpful and speaks good English.
