A Family trip to remember 💕

I went istanbul last year and stayed at this hotel via my American Express travel for the first time and it was exceptional with great service and great room upgrade. Last year I got pic pocketed in the trams and the reception people of this hotel made me feel soo great they even gave me an allowance via cash to keep my holiday time perfect and I had to go back as I felt safe and cared for. This time I did it direct as I was part of the shangri la Memebership which I took out last year which was suggested by the receptionist which I am glad I took when I first went last year. Due to this I got a great discount hence directly booking with shangri la istanbul was better and saved me soo much more money. They also gave my mum and sister birthday cakes and added extra special free bees and also spacious room upgrades.

Let’s mention couple of points this year

- the concierge are just exceptional, they have so much knowledge and advice and generally want to keep you safe and protect you from getting ripped off! especially from the yellow taxi’s. Erhan was great and all the others which I can’t remember their names where amazing

- The hotel has an out door terrace at the back where you can do sheesha, eat, relax and see the great view of Bosporus. This was not there last year. The guys in the evening including the managers were super! My brothers burger didn’t come on time, they gave us free deserts and drinks to make us feel good. The sheesha is a must!! Especially the cheesecake one. It’s a little pricey for a sheesha but great flavour and design. Only think I would suggest is for them to keep the terrace open much more longer during the night. Instead of 12am I would suggest finish latest by 2am. It’s just soo amazing and atmosphere is great, good vibe.

- the room cleaners, especially one I had for 2 rooms I booked which was 232 and 233 where great. Cleaned our rooms etc more than 2 times a day. They left my room tidy, clean and also well organised.

- my room I had to change when I arrived as I had a different room last year as this year I didn’t have the view and it was too silent and dark. The upgrade was just perfect, they gave us a full view room, I even could here the Adhan (Arabic sounds for prayer times) which sounded incredible.

- the breakfast is just the best, staff are soo well organised and always there to make you feel comfortable and hey you anything that you wanted . The best was the crepes man, who would come to your table and make it right infront of you .

The location of the hotel is the best in Istanbul, you have the town infront , the security is very high, and the beauty sea view and boats with so many activities and food at the back.

- there is a beautiful tall girl near reception who was their last year and was here again this year. She rememberd and she always makes us feel very welcomed, she’s always smiling and if there is an issue she would always get the right person and get it fixed

This is the best place to stay in Istanbul. I prefer this then the four seasons in Sultanahmet. I will again go, I cannot stay anywhere else accept the shangri la in Istanbul
