Well located near the best Istanbul's Sultanahmet district has to offer-- Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome,Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar. The room was large and comfortable, the breakfast buffet very nice but best of all was that the staff was wonderful beginning with transfer from the airport -- a welcome service after a long flight. Helpful with suggestions for tours, where to eat, the best authentic Turkish bath, etc. Gaye, Greg and the team are wonderful hosts.

Istanbul was a fantastic experience, full of life, history and excitement. Gaye and Greg at the Ayosofya were both warm, easy going and extremely helpful with tips on places of interest and tours around Istanbul. They also helped with tours as we continued our trip around Turkey. Their staff could not be more pleasant. The neighbourhood of their hotel is an eye opener.
Highly recommended.

Room tip: Rooms are air conditioned and windows double glazed. No real preference in room selection.

This is a fabulous small historic hotel in the heart of old Istanbul -- you can walk to most of the major attractions (Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, Topkapi palace). The real treasure of this hotel, however, is the staff: they help you find your way, suggest places and outings of interest, and do everything to make you comfortable and happy. The rooms are tastefully decorated & comfortable, with an ample breakfast buffet included in the very economical room price. Highly recommended for women traveling alone.

well what can I say
this was one of the best trips I've personally ever experienced.
everything from the hotel to the overall history of Istanbul was amazing there was not one moment which i did not enjoy.
overall the hotel was beautiful it offered us a lot of space and time together. Being a big family and obviously not liking the idea of having separate rooms we had booked two big family rooms so we could go half n half n be together in some sense, the rooms were enormous and so beautiful you could see the old town every time the curtains open it was a sight worth seeing.
the blue mosque which was one of the historic places was soo close by to the hotel so there was not much car transport and a lot more walking as all the tourist spots were within walking distance of the hotel.
overall everything was perfect from the hotel to Istanbul itself.
worth seeing!

Room tip: if you are looking for quiet rooms stick with the building on the upper side they offer the quiet rooms
