We arrived at the Nena by accident, since we didn't like the hotel we booked. It attracted us because of the location (an easy walk on flat ground to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofiya) and because it had a light, airy and pretty lobby. The staff were immediately helpful and found us a standard room. The price was a bit high, but that's only to be expected when you walk in desperate off the street--it was about 30% more than the hotel we originally booked, but well worth the extra expense.
The room and bathroom were clean, air-conditioned and comfortable. The bed was on the hard side, but the mattress was good. The bed in our other hotel was also hard, so maybe this is the style in Turkey. Breakfast was good, with a wide selection on the buffet, and the view from the rooftop room where it was served simply could not have been better. I would definitely stay here again.More
