This is the second time I stay at 4 floors hotel. I really like the feeling of not being in a hotel but in an apartment! The hotel is walking distance to Karakoy neigborgood (which is my favorite) and Beyoglu or Pera where the best nightlife is. Rooms have great view!

I've stayed at fourth floor and five lofts 3 times now. each time is better than the last. the rooms are incredible - attention to detail and design. Murat is always around and accessible - and provides curated maps to all guests of restaurants and bars in the area. definitely recommend staying here

4 floors hotel is amazing.

Friends and I stayed at penthouse, which is totally affordable and it is more than worth the money.

The penthouse stretches over two floors, contains a living room, kitchen, two toilets, one bathroom, one master bedrooms, one second bedroom (actually the top floor, which is a glass cube almost similar to the 5th ave. Apple store), to terraces and one rooftop balcony.

From both floors you are awarded with stunning and 360 degree view (from top) view of the Bosporus and the entire city.

The entire flat was clean, tidy and well maintained unlike stated by other visitors according to some of earlier reviews. Wifi is provided and works like a charm.

The hotel is well located in the middle of the city, near the Galata tower and not too far from Taksim square either. The main shopping street is 3 min. walking distance. The port with its ferries offering transfer to the Asian part of Istanbul is about 10 min. walking distance. There are also tons of bars, restaurants, clubs and coffee shops just near by.

4 floors is more of an appart-hotel than a regular hotel. It's run by Murat – the owner – who is a really nice, friendly and helpful guy! He makes sure you enjoy your visit and provides you with insider knowledge and tipps, to make sure you do not get trapped by the tourist traps! Just stick to his handwritten map and you do not need to use your phone any more.

I would totally go there again and recommend it to anybody!

Room Tip: Go for the penthouse! You will not regret it!!!

We stayed at 4th Floors on 22-26 may 2015 on the first floor apartment. The apartment is beautiful and looks just as pictured on the website (if anything, the pictures make the flat look smaller), everything was clean and well kept, the wifi connection was excellent. The owner provides a very helpful map of nearby places to eat and drink and all his recommendations were fantastic, it was really nice to have some guidance from the start.

The one negative point is that the level of sound insulation on the flat is non-existent. We were unlucky in having a very loud group staying on the floor above and, although there is little the owner can do about loud guests arriving at 2am, perhaps a warning to the guests that it is an old building with no soundproofing might help people be more considerate. Also letting guests know from the outset of a procedure to deal/report noise issues, given that there is no reception at the building is necessary as at present, it is pretty much left to the guests to sort out any noise issues between themselves. I didn't particularly relish the thought of getting up at 2am to ask people on the floor above to quiet down and also, is not something that I would expect having to do when paying EUR150 a night.

Aside from the noise issue, the apartments are an excellent choice for Istanbul, very well located, only 2 tram stops away from the main sights and in a very vibrant area of the city.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors might be quieter

Close to the heart of Istikal Caddesi, the shopping street of Istanbul, and Taksim square. Walking distance from Galata Tower and Galata bridge.
In the neighbourhood You will find fancy restaurants, art galleries, jazz clubs and many differente Hammams.
Just cross Galata bridge and You will dive into the heart of the Old Istanbul.
The owner will provide You with full of information about best places to visit, where to eat and do shopping.
Free wifi in the apartments. And if You look for more space, try the penthouse ! price are fair.
Murat, the owner, became a friend!

Room Tip: room on top floor is more quiet
