I'll address the hotel itself as the location comments are spot-on. Room had very comfortable bed; master bath in bedroom has glass walled partition...will have to ask your partner to leave the room for privacy when in use. This top floor suite has a separate living area with powder room, small sink/bar/coffee/mini fridge area...needed more lighting for reading here. Also, has a great balcony/terrace area. Had dinner here twice...great food, and dining staff...concierge folks were just ok. Very clean hotel.

Tomtom service is spectacular. The location is ideal for exploration and evening activities as well. Views from rooftop bar/breakfast room are great. Ipads are available at breakfast and a really thoughtful touch. Would highly recommend!

our first trip to turkey and istanbul was made all the more pleasureable by our stay at Tomtom.. from the service quality of the staff, the sizeable and luxurious rooms, the more than hearty breakfast and location..it all added up to a perfect choice

yes its not within walking distance from the sights in sultan ahmet but its only a short walk and tram away/or cab.. and there are much better eating spots and bars nearby

well worth the $$..

Our trip would not have been the same had we stayed in another hotel. It was so luxurious and such a treat to return to the beautiful and comfortable room we had. It was a quiet retreat in a city that never sleeps! The staff was exceptional and we felt at home with their hospitality. I will recommend the TomTom to visitors - and hope that we can return one day.

Just returned from a 2 day stay at the Tomtom and would highly recommend it. It is difficult for cab drivers to find so if you can prearrange transport from the airport and back you will find that easier than a taxi (we used Reliable Airport Transfer who were very good). The standard rooms are more like deluxe rooms - they are very spacious and well set out with excellent amenities. The location is very quiet for sleeping and the beds are of the best you will find in a hotel. In a nutshell extremely comfortable.
The walk to and from the hotel to nearby places is very steep but don't let that put you off - there are lot's of good shops and restaurants nearby (we loved the restaurant 5.Kat for one of the best views of the city and a very cool dining room - food not so great so suggest shared tasting plates and some nice wine and take in the gorgeous setting). The Pera Palace hotel (where Agatha Chrisie stayed) is also close and a top place for a drink or dinner.
Overall the Tomtom staff were very helpful in directing us to all the places we wanted to go..would not want to stay anywhere else in Istanbul!
