We all end up having the worst hayfever reaction!!! This place is surrounded by weeds taller than me. I wasn’t able to breath, spent the whole time indoor suffocating

They have a small museum with information about the horses at the entrance which the kids enjoyed. As well as a film about the park and the horses. They have a restaurant in a yurt with traditional decor which the kids found to be quite cool and offer horse riding, arrow shooting and other activities for the family. We did not stay the night but saw many other families there that did. Seeing the horses is a highlight but def hit or miss. I heard that if you get there early, your chances of seeing them close up are higher. Otherwise, they are seen from a good distance where binoculars are recommended.

About a 3 Hour Drive from UB, This park is very scenic in the winter time. Was able to see some wild horses from a distance. Make sure that you have good four-wheel-drive and a jeep in order to maximize the chances that you will not be stuck in the deep snow. Visited a nomad family and really enjoyed spending time in the year to as well as sharing a special traditional meal that she cooked.

We booked a one day private tour to look at the horses, other wildlife, the graves and stones and the petrogliphs. Magnificent, went to the horse museum and saw the horses in the wild, saw a wild wolf (extremely lucky) deer and a number of other animals. The beauty of the park is in the clear landscapes, the rivers, rolling hills and plains. Well worth a day trip.
