The hotel is well situated and has a very pleasant entrance, however there are some building materials store there with what appears to some family activity which does detract from a hotel for paying guests, something i would expect in a guesthouse. The staff were friendly and one receptionist in particular very efficient. The room was very nice and clean. We had one meal in the rooftop bar, mine was nice, but my wife did not eat hers as it appeared to be reheated. The provide dcooked breakfats on each of the three mornings that we stayed was excellent. On a whole the staff were freindly and efficient but did not get very close with guests as we had experienced in other locations. Possibly as it was a larger hotel with many more guests. I would stay here again. They booked travelk and tours for us, these both were of a very good value.

We booked a twin room for three nights in advance by e-mail (for $24 per night for the room including breakfast). We arrived very early in the morning (about 6am) on a night bus from Hoi An. We walked the short distance to the hotel and checked-in. Our room wasn't quite ready, although we only had to wait an hour or so for it, which was much better than expected. We were therefore able to access the room well before 8am. While waiting for the room we were able to take breakfast on the rooftop lounge while we waited. This was the same breakfast we would have included in the room rate the following days.

On check-in the staff were organised and helpful. Our twin room was on the second floor - the room was quote small with two beds together with a television and fridge. The room was fairly plain but clean and well looked after (although some of the bedding did have holes in). The bathroom was a reasonable size with a rain shower-head in the middle of the bathroom (no bathtub). The shower was fairly good although the water did not drain away very effectively (the drain was in the corner of the room but the floor remained wet throughout our stay after using the shower). The communal hallways were a little shabby (the carpets a bit grubby and not properly fitted) but given we didn't spend time there, this was not a major concern.

The best feature of the hotel was the rooftop lounge which was a nice area to have a drink, use the computers with free internet access or get some lunch. Breakfast was also served here (on the 6th floor) in a separate (largely open-air) terrace area. There was a good choice for breakfast - a selection of cooked dishes to choose from (eg American breakfast, omelette, pancakes, Continental breakfast,...) which was served together with two rounds of toast and a large selection of fruits. The only strange thing was that this was all served piled up on one large plate. I think it would have been better to serve the cooked element first and a fruite platter afterwards. A choice of tea, coffee or juice is offered with the breakfast.

The rooftop lounge consisted of comfy sofas, chairs and tables with a bar area. All drinks and food seemed good value and the atmosphere was good, particularly into the evenings when the lounge bcame busier. As mentioned, there were computers to use in the rooftop lounge although they weren't all that reliable. Some seemed permanently broken and others had fairly weak connections (although free WIFI was available throughout the hotel). There were some electrical issues - during the evening the electricity seemed to go off quite frequently (shutting the computers off and the lights out) although it normally came back fairly quickly.

The hotel is in a good location, a few minutes walk from the beach with a lot of bars and restaurants very close by. We normally ate lunch and dinner just round the corner from the hotel, where there was a large selection of places to eat.

All members of staff in the hotel were very helpful. There was no pushing tours or transfer tickets onto us which was good. We booked our onward train tickets through the hotel (they had the tickets delivered to the hotel for us) - this was efficient and they charged 10% of the ticket price in commission (which seemed reasonable compared to some other hotels). In addition, check-out was efficient and we were able to pay by credit card (subject to a small additional fee).

Overall, I thought this hotel was good value for money and in a reasonably good location. There are a few areas for improvement but nothing that I can say spoilt my stay here.

First thing is we absolutely loved our stay at this guesthouse/hotel. We stayed for 5 days.

We booked by email and Nicolas the owner was quick and courteous in all his replies. With that and along with all the good reviews here and the excellent price we decided to book.

I would say that the pictures on the website don’t do the rooms justice as our room was much nicer than the picture showed but then it’s not easy to get a good picture of a room.

We booked an airport transfer and as we left the airport our driver was waiting for us. It took approx 40 mins to drive to the hotel, and it was completely different from the crowded roads of Saigon, and the views were breathtaking.

Check in took no more than 2 mins. In fact the girl knew who I was before I even announced it. We were in our room within 5 mins of arriving which was fab compared to some places.

The hotel is no further than 5 mins to the beach. In fact its location is perfect if you don’t mind not having (and paying a premium) for a sea view with other hotels. There are restaurants and a few bars within two minutes of the place.

The rooms are quiet and we had a balcony which is just nice to have even if you have not got a sea view. Shower was great and there was enough room to store clothes etc, plus a nice 32 lcd tv was a nice touch if the channels were a bit lacking in content, but hey you don’t go on holiday to watch tv. The room did lack a safe which was a little disappointing.

Breakfast was great with a choice of pancakes or American breakfast which would at least set you up for a few hours before finding lunch.

We organized tours in the hotel (again taking less than a minute to organize – I so hate waiting around filling in endless forms, paying etc) and the tour bill with no premium was added to our final bill. We also hired mountain bikes which were in very good condition with suspension etc for $5 a day each from the hotel. It was nice just to ask for the bikes and they were given with a lock and a map and some directions. No deposit etc – yet again just added to bill at the end.

The upstairs roof was used for breakfast and had its own bar at nighttime which was quite good with some good music, good cocktails, big tv to watch the footie and the internet worked up their as it did anywhere in the hotel and was free.

There is lot of mention on here how good the upstairs bar staff were especially one guy. We did encounter them but on two nights the boys seemed to spend the whole time flirting with a different bunch of girls who were staying, offering them drinks (shots)and playing various games with them while ignoring most of the others staying up there. I think this was the only let down on the whole stay as you just thought you had intruded on their own little party. Still they always served you when you asked but it just seemed a little unprofessional.

The owner and his wife seemed always about and always helpful and the front reception staff were always fantastic, helpful and smiling. The owner’s children seemed to be around downstairs and they were delightful to see and speak to.
We definitely would come back to this hotel and hope to return to Vietnam next year which in all was fantastic.

We stayed here for 4 nights in early February. We couldn't recommend it more highly. Nicolas and his team have hit a winning formula here.

Our room was spectacularly good for the price. The shower was to die for, hot, powerful and possibly the best we enjoyed in two months travelling in SE Asia.

The room was spotless and spacious. The breakfasts were, if anything, over generous. The hotel is well located for the town's evening attractions but, in truth, our best nights were spent in the buzzing roof top bar with the friendly (and chess playing!) staff and management-and great music (not too intrusive).

We loved Nha Trang and we loved this hotel. Highly recommended.
