The place is near the forbidden city. We ordered Hue's specialty pancake, Hue's specialty grilled meat served with rice paper and Hue's specialty rice - steamed rolls with pork and green salad served with peanut sauce. All are good for the price. We are content with our lunch. Staff is friendly and service is quick.

Waitress was very helpful and friendly but food was bang average to poor. ‘Banh Khoai’ (Rice Pancake) labelled as a ‘Hue special’ but this is available with triple the portion in the local food market in Hoi An, and much tastier there. With the rice pancake you got one messily pancake and a plate of wilted (black on corners) leaves. The shrimp crispy noodles (prawns were cold and obviously cooked first from the freezer). Veggie spring rolls were so over done and crispy. Fairy reasonably priced but not the quality and portion sizes we hoped for. Shame as all the graffiti on the walls give glowing reviews

Go here for the Bánh khoái, pancakes eaten with shrimp and pork inside rice paper. Really delicious!

Next time you are in Old Town Hue, after visiting the Forbidden City, do not forget to stop at Lac Thien for their delicious, crunchy, flavourful pancakes with shrimp, pork and peanut sauce. It is unforgettable. Highly recommend it.....and don’t forget to have a cold Huda with it, if not to cool off, to see the high tech bottle opener

Stopped here for lunch. Service was quick and the food was delicious. Had the yellow fried noodle with vegetable and tofu.
