Check in was quick and the staff were all very pleasant and friendly. Our room was large, modern and clean. The air con worked very well ( which was a blessing in the incredible heat of Saigon). The location is superb: walking distance to all the sights within Zone 1.

Breakfast was fine. Nothing special, but enough to fill you up before a day of busy sightseeing.

We visited the Cu Chi tunnels by private taxi at a cost of 1 million dong for 6 hours and would reccommend doing this over an organised trip. Ask the hotel to book the taxi for you.

Set in the business district, this is very comfortable hotel to stay in... not very fancy yet adequate.
The breakfast starts very early (6am) and it is very generous spread... good mix of local & international dishes.
Rooms are clean and well kept. Room service was efficient and tasty local dishes were served.

Half price of bigger hotel brands and yet terrific location on quiet side side, complete with door man, and 100% professional staff. Immaculately kept, bigger king bed that I have been in. Breakfast absolutely outstanding, excellent waiter service, and recommend custom omelettes. My large coffee mug (brought down from the room) always kept full. Took Vinasun taxi from airport (two couples travelling together) cost 160,000 VND. All taxis metered and chose Vinasun as liked reports I had read. Walked to War Remnants Museum, Vincom Shopping Centre and Ben Thanh Market from our door. Only downfall was getting lost walking home in teaming buckets of rain one evening.

Room Tip: Were jet-lagged so did not care.

Being a first timer to HCMC aka Saigon i had not put a lot of expectation on what to experience but rather enjoy the walk. Stayed at Aquari Hotel for 3 nights with a good quality of sleep, a complete room and bathroom amenities despite it hold 3 stars property but it has all you need, perhaps they are strongly hold onto French standard of hotel facility, it was my 1st experience in 3 stars hotel that provide all kind of towels from bath to hand and face towels in their bathroom along with bathtub while some 4 stars only provide bath and hand towel. The room was spotlessly clean, small bottles of alcohol beverages is also display in the room in case you need some.
Saigon has changed a lot according to locals as you will find branded stores and internationals hotel chain and more are still on project, they are growing the economy. However VND - Vietnam Dong seems does not accepted in many hotels as this hotel does, paid 3 nights bills in USD, yes USD! has no idea why in a country like Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos usd is the most majority currency used, and another minus point had encountered was the citibank ATM at the airport seems did not work at all and ended up in local bank atm nearby with 4 Euro deduction ( tax maybe ) all in all, it was nice to see once and maybe another visit once the country is fully stand on their own feet.
