We stayed here for 2 nights in November, 2017. It was very well located. You can walk to many locations in the old quarter. Shopping, dining, rickshaws. The breakfast was quite good as well. A little noisy, but unavoidable in Hanoi!!

This hotel is noisy - both inside and out. At the higher levels on the street side the bells of the local church ensure you are awake at 0500 every morning. In the evening the street noise keeps you awake until at least 1030. On top of this the chime to announce the lift arrival penetrates well into the rooms as does the sound of doors closing all along the level.
On the lower levels the street, lift and doors are enough.
Too much furniture in the room means you have to move it around to have access to the bed on both sides, however the bed itself was very comfortable.
The hotel is in the Old quarter which does have a degree of charm and it is within walking distance to many sights.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel may not have the street ambiance but might just be a little quieter.

Beware, there are 2 hotels, which are part of the same group, which have very similar names and are right next door to one another. The Golden Lotus boutique does not, as yet, have a pool (under construction) . The hotels fixtures and fittings was to a very high specification however sadly our room was next to the lift which meant it had no window and the lift's bell alerted us to every person entering or disembarking on our floor (which was rather a lot and rather disturbing of sleep in the early hours of our stay). The breakfast had a variety of options with the entertainment of the waitress facetiming someone throughout !
An okay stay but would not be likely to return given the chance.

Nice small rooms in a great location. The shower is a bit dangerous for older people as it is a high stepover. Hopeless lighting in bathroom. Can't see to shave. Would be a nightmare for makeup.
Very friendly and great service at the included breakfast.
Has free wi fi and for $25 will pick you up at the airport.

I stayed here for 5 days and was very pleased with the value for money. I had a room with a window looking onto Hang Trong Street and would strongly suggest that you book a room with a window as some of the rooms do not have them.

The room was a very good size and the bathroom adequate but very clean.

Breakfast was usually in the basement of the hotel, but sometimes we were asked to go down to the Golden Lotus Luxury Hotel for breakfast. Breakfast was OK and the omelettes were delicious.

This hotel is situated in a very good position, only 1 street back from the Lake, but in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of the Old Quarter.

The staff were excellent, especially Linh and Candy. Provided great service and were very helpful with getting taxis etc.

Highly recommend as value for money.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a window
