We booked a tour spontaneously at our hotel. We were lucky that our guide Pot just finished a tour and had time for us. He discussed all the sights with us and asked which are important for us to make sure we are not gonna miss it.
He always gave us some interesting information at the spots. When we passed a local market he asked us if we want to have a look on it and he made a spontaneous food tour with us through the market. We were able to try so many delicious dishes which we never would have tried on our own. He drove the car very relaxed that we always felt safe.

We took the ten hour day trip around the island with Mr Chicken. We had emailed a few weeks before with what we wanted out of the day and we weren't disappointed! At 10am, Mr Chicken was waiting for us at our hotel. He started off by showing us a map of our route and what we would see during our time with him. It was a very long day, 10am to 8pm, but we saw all of the sights of Samui at our own pace. Mr Chicken was thoughtful, informative and spoke good English. He was very patient with our slightly grumpy teenagers. Our eldest son has Down Syndrome and Mr Chicken was so patient and kind with him. Our highlights were the two restaurants we ate at for lunch and dinner. They were both on the beach and were not full of other tourists because they were off the beaten track. The last amazing resturant was literally a shack on the beach that fed locals and was particularly delicious and inexpensive.
We also enjoyed visiting the food market for locals.
The minibus was air-conditioned and we were given cold towels abd water which all provided welcome relief from the blistering heat.
We would highly recommend Mr Samui Tours as they were great vakue for money and it was completely tailored to our needs as a family of six. Thanks Mr Chicken from Jake"s family
