It was so more than I expected! I went on a tour. The day started with a right on time pick up with a brand new pickup car. We went to the shop where I was spoiled with espresso and tea, and got the protection gear that was of great brands (fox/bell) and bikes that were high end YTs. All was in perfect shape and the team was super friendly. Then we went on to teh trail it self. Joe, the driver has fluent English and we had some great discuessions. When I tald them that the day planning was a little short and not enough ascent to what I am used to, theybsuprised we by being flexible and we have started the day climb from a lower spot and I earned another 10k over 700m climb :). Joe and the pickup car followed our climb most of the watt, carrying all of our gear and needs. We stopped at a hidden temple in the jungle for a nice tour, and continued through the Karen tribe landmarks and villages. The final treat were fast downhill trails, while I was followed by Chu that go pro'ed me most of the way. I am anxious to get the pics and films! Chu, my guide, was in great fit (too fit) and was awesome company. At the end of the trail I was treated with Dom more drinks and food and a great full meal at a Thai restaurant. Thank you Trailhead for an owsone day!

Thanks for taking the time to review us on Trip Advisor and we appreciate the 5 star review. We're glad we could customize our Stairway to Heaven tour to provide more climbing for you, everyone was very impressed with your fitness on what is already a challenging ride!

It is great you notice small details like the Bell helmets / Fox pads, your safety is of paramount importance to us so it is worth getting the best. The YT bikes are fantastic and it makes all the difference having a decent bike.

We hope you enjoy the photos and videos and we will share the comments with the team who do a great job.

Thanks again and enjoy the rest of your time in Chiang Mai.

I believe that Human Resources is the most important property and the source of competitiveness.
A bad staff can ruin all. On the orther hand, a good staff can make impossible possible.
The Reason why I choose Trialhead again which I have mentioned before on my last review last year.
Wanna say Thank You to the Trailhead team, you’re awesome. Your passion, kindness, obliging and thoughtful really make me feel like home.

We were collected from our hotel, taken to the office to sort out the forms. We were then driven out to the drop off point. Our son climbed out of the vehicle wearing flip flops🙀BUT the route was very doable in flip flops but def not advisable. The route was hard but mainly due to the high humidity. We had a back up vehicle so there was a plan B. I would def recommend this trip as finished off with time at the sticky waterfall then a meal prepared for us

Thanks for taking the time to review our tour on Trip Advisor. Yes we would not recommend flip flops during a cycling trip but we appreciate your recommendation of the tour. As you mention, it can be difficult but rewarding as you get to see the wonderful Sticky Waterfalls for a refreshing cool down at the end. Thanks again and we hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Chiang Mai.

We were the second group to try the sticky waterfalls mountain biking route and it was an amazing day! We cycled 19KM and although it was advertised as easy, it definitely wasn't! We enjoyed a nice bike ride then our first bit of cycling was a massive hill. Our guide was very attentive and made sure we could rest whenever we needed, he was also very encouraging when it started to pour with rain and we were slipping about in the mud. We visited the most incredible bat cave with hundreds of bat's and two snakes. We finished at sticky waterfall which was the absolute highlight and one of my favourite places we've visited on our trip! I highly recommend this tour of you have good fitness and want an adventurous challenge. The cherry on the cake was receiving all the photos and videos the other rider had taken, capturing special moments from the day.

Trailhead made the booking super easy and even showed us pictures of the new route before we booked. Thank you!

Thanks for taking the time to review our tour on Trip Advisor, we're glad you had an amazing day! Whilst we list the tour as technically easy in terms of cycling ability, guests do require a certain level of fitness, as you mention there are some tough climbs along the way. We're very proud of our amazing guides and glad you were taken care of. Sticky Waterfall is indeed a fantastic place to visit and we think the perfect end to this cycling tour.

We hope you can join us again in the future and enjoy the rest of your time in Chiang Mai.

Excellent day out with Lek and the driver who took us for a great day riding bikes in Chiang May. I was impressed by the fact that we had a support vehicle right behind us during the whole journey. Lek was always attentive. One of the best experiences I had during this trip abroad and I will try to do more here in Brazil. Thank you all :)

Thanks for taking the time to review our Rural Explorer tour here on Trip Advisor and it's fantastic to read that it was one of the best tours you took in Thailand. As you mention, our support vehicle is on standby at all times to provide peace of mind to our guests should you need a rest or a cold drink. Lek does a fantastic job here at Trailhead and are happy he took care of you.

We hope you can join us again in the near future.
