Description: We don't serve fast food at our small, non-airconditioned restaurant. Sandwich, salad and breakfast restaurant serving locally-sourced coffee beans and fresh fruit for smoothies. Our bagels and baguettes are made by a bakery to our high standards and we make our own yoghurt. Use of high quality ingredients and skillful techniques gives you the taste of fine-dining without the fine-dining price. Find out where the flavour is hiding!

"The Hideout" is the perfect name for this little gem. Tucked on a side street in Chiang Mai, it's well worth visiting. Our teenage son was craving french toast and they more than delivered. Everyone in our family of 4 left happy (I had a BLT on a bagel -- the bacon was fantastic.) The smoothies were also a big hit with us. Probiotic yoghurt/fruit smoothies were delicious. The owner described their lengthy process for making the yoghurt. Side note: there's a video screen in the restaurant which describes where they source many of the ingredients used in their food. Informative and fun. We highly recommend it!

Scouted this one out as a result of the ta reviews. Nice clean quiet spot for simple sandwiches and tea. Good variety of food and choice of breads which is a nice surprise. Bit hard to find tucked just off the main road but worth the search.

Disappointing meal. I think you must have to know what to order here.

The omelette was good but everything else was not great, including the service.

The 'bagel' was a bagel-shaped bread roll. (For good bagels, try Bagel House). There's some excellent cheddar available in Chiang Mai, but the 'cheddar' here was like processed American cheese. The veggie sandwich was on thick white bread with mostly lettuce and barely there avocado. The french fries looked like they came from a fast food place, maybe some people enjoy that?

I asked for extra avocado (it's on the menu as an extra for a small charge) and was told they had none left. The next table ordered a minute later and avocado was available for them.

This food was edible, just very boring and not deserving of the amazing ratings so don't expect much.

There's many nicer breakfast spots where you don't have to wait for a table.

I apologise for the experience you had regarding the avocado. Waew tells me that on the day of your visit we didn't have enough avocado stock to offer them as extras. When you placed your order asking for extra avocado Waew told you, "we don't have enough for extras," when she took your order. This was something I didn't know was happening and staff are not meant to ration ingredients that way because it offsets the flavour balance of menu items. Staff have been reminded to not do this.

Our ingredients are chosen very carefully to make sure they satisfy many important criteria that are often overlooked by those without restaurant management experience.

It's a pity you didn't raise your concerns with me during your visit because I could have taken action immediately to fix the problem. Your immediate feedback would have prevented many others receiving less than the best servings on a day when fresh produce was hard to come by.
