If you are looking for a great place to spend your time out of town, The Kua Moong is a great deal to do that. The place has a concept of 'taste a cup of coffee, have a bite of our homemade bakery, while walking around in our garden' . This coffee shop is located around 14 kilometers out of town. It is a hidden gem in a peaceful area of Baan Mea Faek Mai, Sansai. Along the way to get to the cafe shop, you will experience plantations. Sometime, I saw greenery of young rice paddy field, before it turning to a golden field of mature rice that ready to be harvested, it's a wonderful scenery!
I am a regular customer. I live in the city but every time I go there, I will enjoy my whole afternoon in their peaceful 10-rai garden with their yummy bakery that always be various served.
Tommy, the chef and everything else of the cafe work together with his sister in the cafe to greet and serve their customer. Sometime, you will also see the dad and the mom to help serve too! if you are lucky. ;-) This family run cafe was there for almost 4 years. Right now they start to serve few breakfast and lunch as well.
The place is based for sustainable living, not only I saw langan fruit trees, there are a chicken farm for daily fresh eggs, on a further walk distance, few fish ponds, a guesthouse for their friends and family where is all guests can help water the plants by cycling a bicycle that takes water from the ponds, a mini zoo that the family cares for them themselves, an organic vegetable farm, a flower farm, an the paint gallery of Tommy's brother-in-law, that shows the story of The Kua
This cafe is a perfect place to hang out for family, a couple or any kinds of visitors!
After the day spent at The Kua Moong, I usually finish my day by go on and have my dinner at Oui-Me restaurant; Tommy's uncle restaurant. Which you can pre-order their food from The Kua Moong. So my relaxing day out of town would be completed!
