Among the popular Northern Thai Food, Dim Sum is a nice choice of alternative to try. Given the location in the middle of city, it's not that far to visit. Consumable both for adults and children. :)

We took our three kids ages 3-7 to this restaurant. The kids loved the food. All five of us ate for about 450 Thai Baht, which is about $15 USD. We were stuffed and very satisfied. Be prepared for sitting outdoors with no A/C on hot days, but if you can handle the heat, it's worth it.

Our Thai friends brought us here. Mostly locals there which we felt was a good sign re both food and prices. Busy but fast service. Local beer also available. Fun to choose from the big cook cart in front. Price per basket, then added at the end. Relaxing. If you have a car, parking is tough after 5-6 pm.

We decided on this restaurant as I had never been to an authentic dim sum restaurant. My wife knew of the restaurant, but it was a little difficult to find and we had to ask directions a couple of times. We arrived at about 18:45 and the place was very busy and we had to wait about ten minutes for a table. At this point I was the only farang there although a couple more turned up shortly after.
Drinks are ordered at the table and food at the stall outside. The portions are naturally small and many dished are ordered. Any fried food is served on plates and steamed food in small bamboo steamers.
We dined on fish, seafood and pork - chopsticks are the norm, although they do provide fork.
Very atmospheric, food excellent, service fast and appears chaotic, but is not.
