We went there for lunch but we were 5 mins late. They already closed. But the owner is very kind, she served for us and it was so good we had to go back again the next day for dinner. The dinner was awesome, the best chinese food ever.Normally I can feel Msg or chicken booster in this kind of food. But it is qaulity and no msg at all! Highly recommended if you are in Chiang Mai

We visited this This place two times in two days the food is fantastic, the service is attentive. The owner of the resturant came out to see us after our meal witch was a nice touch. I will defiantly come back again.

They openly say they don,t like foreigner customers because foreigners complain, in fact when they make mistake they don,t want to admit and they always bring starter to the last or in the middle of the dinner, when you tell them they don,t like it, it happens all the time. They always bring the food first and the rice a lot later , you will have to eat the rice without food. The tea is very price and you are not allow to share, the price is per cup and per a pot of tea, If you ask for one more cup, they charge one tea price more. Horrible service manner. The food was very good but they need to satisfy local customers, they cook more Thai taste and style now. I don,t go back anymore, used to go almost every month or more. Once my friend went and at 9:30 they started to pack and clean their restaurant, my friend ask the owner why they do that while the customers still eating and the restaurant should be closed at 10, the owner told my friend to leave if he did not like it. That was really bad attitude.

At this restaurant you can order normal Cantonese dishes or dim sum dishes or a combination. This was our second visit and we ordered dim sum dishes. All dishes were excellent, easily the best Chinese food we've come across in Chiang Mai in 4 years. The service was good but a smile would have helped sell himself and his service just a little better. It is expensive for what you receive but you need to weigh up price against quality and in the quality stakes it came up trumps.

The restaurant name 扬子江 (simplified Chinese) in common English is Yangtze River that flows through Shanghai in northern China. Odd that that name was chosen for a restaurant serving southern Chinese Cantonese cuisine. I sampled the Shanghai dumplings (xiao long bao), har gow, and shrimp and chive dumplings (my favorite). There was three each in a bamboo steamer, and various sauces with red peppers (this is Thailand after all) all. All were well prepared, the shrimps were large and crunchy. It was necessary to ask for a bowl to use for the Shanghai dumplings that are filed with a liquid filling. Excellent.
