The Swiss owners are vastly experienced in the world of food & wine and know just how to satisfy customers here in this comfortable Swiss family-style restaurant tucked away in a charming Thai house off Sukhumvit's Soi 20. It is by far the best farang restaurant on the busy soi teeming with eateries of one description or another. Standouts include Logarno-style Risotto and a very healthy (loads of Vitamin B12) and delicious calves liver in a Port reduction. Wines of the month by the glass, etc., are well chosen and offered at keen prices. A bevy of local girls like to trade quips in English and Thai with well behaved expats and Thais in the know.

We had a set lunch menu for 2. Appetizer (salmon) and soup were decent, accompanied by fresh bread. Mains (salmon tagliatelle and ham with roast potatoes) just ok (potatoes looked like of supermarket frozen variety). Dessert (tiramisu) was small and average.
All in all, when it comes to food it was rather disappointing, fairly priced though.
On a positive note, it’s a nice and quiet restaurant with well trained staff (prompt and polite), wine selection is very decent.
I could come back, but would as for what Swiss are famous for, fondue or raclette.

I haven't seen fondue on a menu in ages. They include many different sauces, but also surprise you with fresh cherry tomatoes, various fruits and pickles. The other entrees were also quite tasty. We went on a busy night, so service was a bit slow, but the overall experience was wonderful.

If while visiting Bangkok you're seeking Swiss food Chesa is the place to go. Extensive menu, bi-lingual local staff overseen by on-site proactive Swiss management in a very clean and comfortable environment. We will certainly return.

Swiss classics out of the way. Great food and extensive wine list; one of the few places for that extended and casual lunch in Bangkok.
