We were browsing the area and didn’t realised our hotel is close to L’Atelier Joel Robuchon, so with no plan we walked in for lunch. Enjoyed the 3 course lunch( really value for money) while watching the chef preparing the dishes. Service was relax, over all experience was great. Will definetly come back!!

Were in Bangkok for a special couples getaway and saw they had a L’Atelier restaurant and hadn’t had the chance to eat at one, so decideed to add it to our itinerary. I made reservations on OpenTable and then we decided to take a Tuk Tuk to dinner thinking we had left in PLENTY of time, yikes! Traffic around dinner time in Bangkok is a nightmare in some locations so please leave WELL in advance (like 45-60 minutes). Additionally, the drivers are not totally sure where to let you off for this restaurant so make sure you have the address in Thai written down. We arrived late, but the restaurant was sooooo accommodating. We asked for recommendations and everything was superb, even items I was not sure I was very excited to try. (Morel mushrroms). Enjoyed a delicious bottle of wine and tremendous service. Let your waiter help you out. Keep in mind you are sitting at a bar on barstools for dinner rather than a table setting, but I never felt uncomfortable.

Dear thereKarengoes,

Greetings from L'Atelier!

On behalf of the entire Team, I would like to thank you for this very kind review.

Concerning the traffic, you are completely right comparing it to a nightmare, especially at certain times of the day.
An early departure, as you wrote, can help a lot.

Thank you for trusting the staff who advised you ... it is very nice to read that the result has been positive,
and it is a great pleasure for us in this business, to have customers like you!

We really hope to see you soon again!

Best regards,

Gianvito Zizzi

My second visit. It blows your mind from the moment you step out of the lift. Visually stunning. Great menu with creative dining options. And fantastic service and chef. Seven stars!

The service here is very good. So is the bread and the wine pairing.

Food is just horrible.

The starter is ok....Foie Gras ... ok balance.

The salmon tartare is over bearing.... portion is a little too big compared with the starter... too oily and too rich...

The Hokkaido Scallop is a shame. Just horrible. We have been eating Hokkaido scallops in japan and this dish is just an insult to the Hokkaido scallop.

The turbot fillet has a fishy smell and too much butter and salt .... horrible !!!

The dessert are normal...

Price of baht 19,000 for 3 person with wine pairing.

International price but sub standard food....that’s why less than 50 percent crowd on a Saturday night.

Skip at all cost.

Robuchon has always been my favourite anywhere in the world. But I was very disappointed by the Bangkok restaurant some years ago. I have not gone back in these years until lunch today. It has apparently redeemed itself. The four-course set lunch with two glasses of wine pairing was most delicious and satisfying. The service staff was friendly and attentive and adequately introduced each course as it was served. I’ll put it back on my must-visit list.
