Not to be missed and honored. This is not only a work of art but testimony to one of the greatest persons of all religions who has been revered and praised unabashedly.

The highlight is, of course, the reclining Buddha. But there is much more to see throughout the public areas of the temple. We arrived just after opening time and walked around the facility and saw a variety of things with our guide, Pookie. Being there early before the crowds was wonderful.

This is a very neat temple and the Reclining Buddha was worth seeing. The price of admission includes a cold bottle of water which was nice and welcomed. You must take off your shoes to see the Buddha, but they give you a bag to carry them in. Quite a few buildings to see in the complex - easy to get to and easy to get a tuk tuk right outside afterwards. Relaxed dress code compared to the requirements for the Grand Palace.

Caught a Grab car from Asok area (paid 200bht) arrived and you get bombarded at the front from vendors wanting you to buy various things. My tip: just ignore them same as the tuk Tuks and taxis.
Reclining Buddha, paid 100bht worth seeing to say you have seen it. Spent around 45 mins - to and hour there.

We took a long tail boat from Sathorn pier, which was a 1 minute walk from Shangri-La. We were able to meander around freely and explore. The Wat Pho temple area is large with lots of things to see. I enjoyed the many statues and there are places to get water and use the facilities. This was a lot less crowded than other spots, which was nice.
